I know. I've actually had quite a bit of fun telling lovey-dovey couples a bit of the history about the day and the Saint they're supposedly commemorating. I've only ever done it to the really annoying sort of couples who're into overt and very public displays of affection that usually belie an incredible shallowness to their meaning.

I'm not really big into pda. I'm a rather private person when it comes to that sort of thing, and I just really dislike the sound of people making out. It's such unpleasant squishy, wet sound to me.

I have never felt that PDA was appropriate.
It's a very private thing, and should be kept that way.

it was junior year kat... i was shaking and couldn't spin worth crap...and i think i may have quit or not taken part in it cuz i don't like chocolate that much.

yeah, I think I remember having tons of candy that year. we all gave each other some and I was probably too hyped up too to pay you much attention, wings.

Granny nailed it for me. I feel the same way, and I'm upset when someone tries more. I think a peck is fine, holding hands, great. But when they start becoming...grab-ass-y and ducking into corners for ten minutes, it's unnerving.

Valentines sucks when you got no one to spend it with...

Spend it with friends? Family maybe? The dog?

Yes, romantic affections really should be kept private. At least, that's the way I've always felt about it, which really didn't sit well with a boyfriend I had in high school. I probably should have taken that as a sign that things would not end up well between us, but such is life.

I really prefer being cuddly to being all kissy. I find it more comfortable.

Unnerving isn't really the way I'd put it. It just seems like a lot of those people are out to show off that they're in a relationship, but really, I'd rather have someone I can have fun talking with and being a dork around than someone who's only good for sucking face with.

Most definitely. It's always been really important to me that any serious relationship I enter into be with a person who respects my oddities as I respect theirs. A guy that would just sit by me and let me lean on his shoulder while we watched a movie would be perfect.
