It's entirely possible that they are cursed. That whole disaster with the lighting of the fire on the inside, I felt so bad. And it was BORING! SO disappointed in Canada right now.

One of the speed skaters fell and sliced his leg with his skate. He only barely missed cutting the femoral artery. Oh, I really hope bad things stop happening.

That was back in September though, he's going to the finals now. ^_^

Ok, So it wasn't as much mom needing my help as it was her wanting me to feel Lady's belly. Apparently they could feel her puppies, but I didn't feel anything.

No, it was the qualifying race before the one Celski was in.

Holy Craaaaaap. I must've missed that (power went out) but I remember Celski doing the same thing. It's actually a really common injury for speed skating. (It's why I never got into the sport physically.)

you know i bet some superstitiuos people right now are going well the light of the torch didn't go properly so the olympics must be cursed....i may be one of them, i'm not entirely sure how far my superstitions run sometimes.

@Talentless: Pretty sure there's just as many sports deaths and close calls year round, just no one cares as much when the Olympics aren't on.
