Well, it could be that everyone is nervous because of the luger, and their concentration is off. But yeah, there are definitely injuries involved in sports by default.

The luge track was dangerous. The athletes were worried about going down that track even before he died.

Still, it's just concerning to have so much happening so close together. It will look bad for Canada if things like this keep happening during their Olympics.

The walls should have been build up high anyway. The steal polls should not have been visible. But, at 144 mph, it may not have made a difference.

@Talentless: True, they need to get their stuff together (not the athletes, the committee).

Thanks Wings!

WATCH THEM LEENIE!

I thought it was like 91mph?

Yeah. The Olympics are supposed to be a global showcase of athletics and sportsmanship. It doesn't reflect well on the host country when bad things keep happening to the other countries' athletes.

Also, I didn't like the committe saying the luger's death was his own fault. They can't expect that to sit well when they're racing on the "fastest luge track in the world." I wouldn't put my Olympians on the "fastest" anything because that just screams of potential for bad things.

Don't feel too bad, Mehi. They only started last night.

HA! Way to go Mehi. You must be living in your own little bubble. It's been everywhere!

Well, they had to say that it was the fault of the luger. Otherwise, they would have to rebuild a whole other luge track, which means postponing. It would never get built in the two weeks of the Olympics which would cancel the luge event. It sucks but that's life. Apparently they physickafied it.

They did change things. They moved the start position so that they shouldn't reach as high speeds as they were before.

I don't necessarily live in a bubble. I just don't do TV and news. Online I just slip right past all the news and don't pay it any mind.

Hello, I am back.
I was watching the Olympics.

I accidentally clicked and played Chance for 5 hearts.
Of course, that means that I lost on the first round and lost my 5 hearts.

Aw. That's sad, Granny.

We were just talking about the Olympics as well. They're not looking too good for Canada, are they?

I'm sorry, but Ohno made a fair pass.
If he interfered with anybody, it was with the Korean who finished first.
