Nah this is just a who's single thread. And I've been trying just the dating sites are not working out and the guy's I've met in my real life are ether grabby :feesh: and or Jerks. I'm sorry but just because we are dating does not mean that you own my body parts. (original wording not appropriate here so my auto edit kicked in) The last guy I got set up with was so into trying to grab certain portions of my anatomy that I ended up borrowing my friends kids handcuffs and cuffing him to the railing out on the porch. I'm sorry grabbing a girl 'there' is not appropriate at a kids b-day party. Unfortunately it took My friends and all the party guests a couple hours to find the key. I guess I should have checked to make sure the kid knew where it was.

I am single. XD I love chocolates and V-day since it's one of the holidays where you get chocolate/ candies.

I'm not single but I might as well be.

I'm single and i like it that way. What i love of Valentines day is the big variety of sweets in the stores. It's a feast for my eyes.

I plan to eat nothing but chocolate on Chocolate Day. Chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, mocha cappuccino, hot chocolate, truffles. Mmm, I can't wait!

TRUFFLES! I must buy. Soft and delicious, yes. Hot chocolate doesn't sounds bad, hmm.

Luna: Since it's v-day don't just buy the powdered hot chocolate! If you have a fondue kit try melting some dark chocolate, add cream, vanilla extract, and a little sugar, and have the real deal!

You could melt truffles and have truffle hot chocolate. >.>

I'm going to use hazelnut coffee creamer rather then cream and vanilla, but the idea is the same. Add some whipped cream, and chocolate shavings to the top... So Freaking Good.

Chocolate is an aphrodisiac and thusly is well associated with the Saints day for the saint of love. Yes Valentines day was Saint Valentines day, a Catholic saints day.

There are many different stories about Saint Valentine. Most of them agree that he was a Roman. Some say he performed illegal marriages for solders, (or young people) after the emperor declared such marriages illegal . Others have in jail for helping Christian prisoners escape from Roman jailers. All agree that he was put to death on February 14th and that he sent the first Valentine on the morning of his death to a woman he met in jail. Most say she was the jailers daughter.

Look at the bright side: after Sunday all that chocolate will go on sale. :o

I love the after holiday sales. Best time to buy candy is the day after a holiday.

Most holidays are associated with a catholic holy day hence the name holiday ;) but they were also placed around pagan feast days to get more pegans to convert.
I don't care about the couple crap I celebrate it by usually sending cheesy grade school style valentines to my siblings. But this year I didn't do that because my cat died this week and I have been feeling really bummed about it.

You know that The Catholics Converted pagan gods into saints. It was a your religion is ours your goddess was actually our saint ploy.
