wow, I just have a roommie that likes to fiddle with the heating, but I don't think this dorm would be functional without an ac.

Yeah, it gets pretty killer in the summer, though it usually doesn't get TOO hot outside. The living room windows take up the whole walls, so it's like an oven. Sunlight goes in, heats everything, and the heat can't escape. That's why in the summer we all crawl downstairs (living room is upstairs, as is the front door) and lurk in the cool shadows. xD

yeah, I think it should be against the law to not have an ac in texas. its not pretty.

And God, I would have died. xD My dad always kept the AC on, even in the winter! One time a hurricane had hit the coastline and was headed towards Austin (might have downgraded to just a tropical storm, it was too long ago for me to remember). So of course our AC broke. >__>; My dad had a heat stroke, but he wound up being fine afterwards. The heat stroke happened after nine at night, too. >>; We have to drag him outside and lie him down on a blanket and pour water on him while the guy was fixing the AC.

Austin? tis home!! ish. ACs broke when Ike came though and my friend ended up at my home because our power didn't go out.

I was in Santa Fe right after Ike. That place got torn up!

I live in California now, so I don't have to worry much about tornadoes (live in the really hilly areas) or that sort of thing. Just earthquakes that I never wind up feeling. :B

Hurr...My roomies and I have no AC in the small apt and it gets to 100 in the summmer. Can you say dizzy?

XD Yeah....I put on a tank top and short shorts. Wrapped myself in a soaked beach towel and sat in front of fan. Fans are basically useless. :<

Well, used to have the AC on in the winter in Texas. xD My dad was so ridiculously easy to overheat, but me and my mom would be frozen solid! He kept it at 60 degrees... -shudders-

Yeah, no, I've never been to that Santa Fe. xD It sucked because I was there when they still had no power and trees were still in the streets. One of the gas stations (possibly the only one in that town, haha!) was knocked upside down. D8

It sucked not having power for that long. I also wound up getting really sick because of the stagnant water.
