It's a kind of old movie. Like the 80's? It has several sequels as well.

I haven't watched a lot of movies, haha. xD I also had little time for much else besides Star Wars when I was little.

Star Wars was really cool, the first one that came out. The second wasn't bad. After that I lost interest.

I love A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, but Empire Strikes Back is definitely my favorite. I used to watch at least one of those movies every day, if not two or three. The new Star Wars are dead to me -- I don't count them as existing, save for some of the backstory. But I have no interest in seeing any of those again. xD

I am still really miffed that they cut out the part where Luke screamed as he fell to his death (which didn't kill him) in the DVD releases... The music still gets louder when he falls, so that you can hear it over the scream, but the scream is completely gone, edited out... I don't understand why, either! I raged for days on that one when I found out. I pity my girlfriend for having to deal with me doing that, haha!

Wow, you really know your Star Wars. I don't even remember that part. I don't know that I've even watched the new three, so I feel you on those. I didn't care much for Return of the Jedi either, but Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back were good, of course Star Wars being the best! Most times you just can't beat the first one out.

I used to be seriously obsessed with those movies, and I still am a bit, I guess! I didn't realize how much until I was watching the Christmas marathon run of it on TV. (No idea why they chose Christmas, but oh, well! Several days of them playing the original three back to back... my heaven! xD)

I do have parts of those movies that bore me, and I used to fast-forward through them on my old VHS tapes. Then... my VCR actually ate Empire Strikes Back. It was so jammed in there that we couldn't even remove its corpse! I was heartbroken. My friend was finally able to after she got bored when I wouldn't wake up (she stayed the night).

I know what you mean. I have some movies I love that much. My Armageddon tape had glitches in a certain area because I would play it and fall asleep to it and cut it off just as I dozed off, and it was always in the same area. DVD's are nicer as you can fast forward and rewind much easier now.

I was so happy when the DVDs of Star Wars came out. xD I still like the VHS, though, because it has the screaming. >>; Even though it's the remastered version and not the original -- but oh, well! They re-remastered the DVDs... and added Hayden Christensen as Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi. I don't know how I feel about that.

You can buy a cheap VCR/DVD recorder and if the tape isn't protected, dub it onto a DVD. Sadly, some of them are protected and I haven't found a way around that yet.

Yeah... I've been thinking about bumming my uncle's. xD He has everything technology-related under the sun, I swear! We live in different states, though, so that's sort of a dampener on the mooching. |D

Maybe he could do it for you. Different states will make that hard though.
