Been in classes and internship all day. I'm finally done with stuff. Haven't eaten, but I might go get a pizza from the store-thingy on campus before it closes. I've had /way/ to much sugar today. breakfast was sugary, had sweets at my internship, just had pancakes...

I'm really wanting to install quick time on my laptop so I can watch Children of Earth finally since megavideo is evil on campus.

For me, travelling from where I was in England (Grantham, which is near Nottingham) to Cardif on a Thursday night, coming back I think it was Saturday morning was about 67pounds. (sorry, American keyboard right now, so can't do the symbol). I traveled three times to Brum for a little more than that for day-trips to see a friend who lives near there, which I think I actually enjoyed more than I would have enjoyed Cardif on my own. Not to mention it was about a 50pound stay for a hostel for two nights, and then at least 30-40 for foods.... Brum was much cheeper.

And I got to hang out and talk about the Doctor with a Whovian friend.

My city got a good dose of Gareth David-Lloyd during the Christmas season XD He did the panto over here and I got to see him on the final night. And someone arranged for his band to play at one of the clubs, so I saw that too.

Met some lovely people at both of them 8D Anything is better when you have fellow fans to glee about with.

Ahh I was just watching some classic Doctor Who.. started watching some old Star Trek and since I was in the mood for old sci-fi, I scurried around a bit and found the very first season on one of my hard drives. Watched the Aztec serial, it was pretty adorable. The Doctor fell in love and got engaged!

I didn't watch any of the olympics because of the time difference but I was very sad to hear about Nodar Kumaritashvili. Hopefully despite the decision to go ahead with the event on such a dangerous course they're be no more accidents and heaven forbid another fatal one. :/

Anyway, I don't mean to be so depressing. I'm looking forward to the ski jumping, go Team Norge!

Kumaritashvili died in the last Luge training run, the opening ceremony was dedicated to him: BBC news story.

Curling... probably the only sport Team GB stand half a chance in.

-pokes thread- You're all so quiet.

And it's sad to hear about that guy. Only 21 DX

Any Brits been watching Watch tonight? They're pretty much having a Barrowmanathon with his Doctor Who episodes before and I think they're showing Torchwood later. I know Children of Earth is starting on Monday on Watch and JB is introducing each episode.

Tempted to watch it, if only because up to the end of Day Four is kinda good.

I wanted to see the new Doctor Who series but I don't have BBC America which is a kick in the paints because I heard it was good.

Which one? The one with Donna in or the one with the new Doctor?

My friend doesn't have BBCAmerica either so she complains she can't watch Torchwood DX She's a season and a half behind because she doesn't like watching them online

@katyasha: Ah, that sucks XP I dunno if I'm gonna watch the new series when it airs... is it even gonna be broadcast over in America? I doubt it'd be at the same time.

... Hang on, was CoE aired at the same time? I can't remember XP

That's really sad to hear about the Olympics contestant. Here's hoping there won't be any more accidents.

What's Watch, Aki? I think I'm going to watch more Star Trek tonight, and maybe a bit more first series Doctor.. such a weird change staying in all weekend.

@ljos: Watch is a channel on Sky (109 I think), and it's pretty well known for showing repeats of BBC shows. They've aired pretty much all the Doctor Who series, and then managed to get Torchwood. And now they've got Children of Earth showing next week.

I don't know. I've never really checked with them XD

Entertaining TV: Watch TV That's their website. They have a comic up from the Torchwood magazine at the moment, which looks awesome.

I didn't know there was a Doctor Who thread on Menewsha! Awesome.

What does everyone think of the new logo? I don't like it much; I think they're trying too hard to look cool. Doctor Who is cool, we don't need a shiny logo to know that.
