:squee:Welcome to The SCIENCE Center!:squee:

I was inspired by this event's addition of medical-wear (woot woot lab coats for the wiiiin!) I'm a big bio nerd.

So, what do you guys love?
Do you like science? Why or why not?
If you do, what's your favorite subject?
If you don't, what's your favorite thing?
Do you like the Menewsha medical wear? What's been your favorite type of Menewsha stuff released?

Hope you're having fun! :) <3

Hello!

Science...Ahh. I do love science! So much so i'm actually doing a degree in it! Although it may not be a pure science, we're frequently told we're being made into scientists.
My favourite science subject at school was biology, followed by physics.

Haha, I'm actually quite scared by the medical items...but I'm okay with the lab coats. Actually, I like them. Lab coats are awesome, as long as they're not inside a hospital. >w> *terrified of doctors and hospitals and medical shet*

But yeeah...I'm a bit of a science nut. Always was my favorite subject. Was the one subject that made me sad to be homeschooled.
I joke that I'm looking forward to being able to buy hazardous materials more than being able to drink when I hit 21. XD Two more months and I can buy uranium samples and pure metallic sodium and other such items...heee...|D *brick'd*

@Sun: Fantastic! What degree are you getting?
I actually couldn't get into physics because I couldn't always wrap my mind around it. The labs were a blast, though! It was bio that really turned me into a science nut, though. I didn't like science until I had my bio class in high school!

@Amani: Hi! Did you not get to do as many experiments because you were homeschooled? And buying sodium.... Whee! Cut off little pieces and put them into water! It's fantastic! (But be really really really really really really careful if you do! Do it in a hood if you can and use itty bitty pieces and wear goggles!)

Hallo fellow science folk!

I was happy to see the lab coats especially. You wouldn't think so the way my real one spends most of its time rolled up on my floor if I don't need it that day. ^^;

I'm a first year Chemistry student at uni. Looking forward to being more involved next year, this year so far has just been recapping what I did at A-Level really.

I'm doing Animal Behaviour, and some aspects of it are just like A level biology. ^_^

What is A-Level? Like high school?

And Sun, Animal Behavior? That's awesome! I have a degree in Animal Science. It was a blast.

I always get confused as to how far high school goes in different countries. I was about 16-18 when I did my A-Levels. ^^;

I liked Biology in secondary school but I much prefer Chemistry now. Even if I'm supposed to be memorising the van der Waal's equation for a test tomorrow. XD

I don't remember that much about Van der Waal's... Then again I teach bio now and my kids don't have to know that until Chemistry so my focus has been off of it for years. :(

We have a short test tomorrow on Attractions and Repulsions and Thermodynamics tomorrow so we went over all of the equations we should memorise in the lecture today.

I didn't realise you were a teacher, that's cool. What level do you teach at?

I teach high school. I've got the "honors" kids (we don't call it honors, but it's the hardest 9th grade biology class). I also teach environmental science, which is a blast because it covers all the ecology that we don't get to cover in regular bio.

Heh, sounds fun if you enjoy the subject.

I do Environmental Science too (I'm in Scotland so we do three subjects first year). I quite enjoy it but most of the class are a bit bummed out at the moment because we just finished weeks and weeks of soil science. XD

I'm loving the lab coats, especially the bloody one. I'm really interested in Science, mainly medical and anything dealing with the human mind.

Human mind in the neuroscience sense or in the psychology sense?

Well. I don't hate science.
Technically I would be getting a Bachelor's in Applied Science if I pursue a career in Criminal Justice.
Goodness knows there's a lot of science involved. And math. Much to my dismay.

I dislike numbers. Give me letters.
My dream is to become a handwriting analyst.

Animal Science always appealed to me but I'm not sure how I'd use it other than for fun.

Lately it's been more Azimov and Crichton. Though I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on.

Ah, Asimov is always good. I've only read Sphere by Crichton--what's been your favorite book of his?

I like the medical items, although giant syringes always kind of freak me out, haha.

Of course, my favorite subject is bio! =D
I found (organic) chemistry interesting, but oh my goodness am I ever terrible at it.

My major interest is in marine systems--I might end up doing grad work on coral reefs, although I don't know what aspect.

TejinaShinsen, you've awoken the dolling beast within the Wicked.
Clicking around in the "ebil dollie lab" linked in your signature.

I probably suck at making pretties since it's been years since I've played with them.

Still.
Beast. Awoken.

With Crichton, Andromeda Strain. Which considering my favorite video games are Resident Evil, it's not that surprising.

Wicked I'm sorry. XD I've only been doing them a little while. I have a lot to learn still. XD

I fucking love science, medicine primarily
But I honestly don't see the tie that has somehow appeared between Valentine's day and nurse/doctor wear. First Gaia, now here. Wtf, did I miss something?

The name of the set is 'Love Sick' and I'm sure there's going to be a lot of sexy nurses/doctors around on Valentines Day. XD

It would follow, since they added the sexy bunny stuff last Valentine's.

*Claps her hands at the tern.*

That tern is what I love, honestly. It's inspiration enough to turn me into a pixel artist. Pun unintended. *blush.*
