Did everyone have pancakes yesterday? My housemate and I are going to make some tomorrow since I've just come back from the hospital now. It's his birthday too, as if we need an extra excuse to make pancakes.. : D

There used to be all these crepe restaurants, but they've all disappeared.

I think that if you have the right pan they can be.
I love the dessert crepes the best.

Quote:
As you might have guessed from the name, this very thin pancake hails from Sweden. Swedish Pancakes can be served for breakfast, but Swedes prepare them for supper accompanied with a bowl of hearty pea soup.
Unlike the thicker American "flap jack", the Swedish pancake is more like the French crepe. Rather than syrup, the pancakes are usually garnished with lingonberries, a tart, or red berry and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Basically crepes with lingonberries and powdered sugar, that's how I like to have them at least.

I wish we had more of the way of a crepe restaurant and bakery around here.

ljosberinn: You were in the hospital?

Hallo again. I've been reading up on soil for revision but I think I can have a break now.

There's a chain of café/restaurants here called Crêpe à Croissant. ^^

Heh, I've only been using Eggs will be Dragons so I've added my scroll to Soti-Dragon too. I remember when all of the self service sites stopped working apart from EwbD. >.<

I've never been inside one of the cafés. They're just a little independent chain, only in Glasgow.

That's sad, places like The DC Fansite were massive. O_o

I love coffee, but I'm happy drinking instant stuff. I'm not enough of a connoisseur to see why Starbucks is so good I should pay £2-3 for it. Especially when most of the drinks go out of their way to not taste like coffee!
