See ya later, Ling. c:
I'm sad that I can't spend as much time on Mene as I want, since it's Chinese New Year, and so it's putting a crimp in my EI gaining plans D:
Harsh, yo. D:
I has a belly achey. D< |
Ugh, I fell asleep during pretty much 1/2 of the opening ceremonies. Saw all the countries but then they kept making speeches! Dx Which basically means I missed the cool parts!
Good morning, my fellow thread killers! :)
Good morning Amane! -decorates this place like Olympic Village-
*hehe* Oh, the Olympics. Did you hear about that person who died?
Yeah, I heard about that! It's so sad cause he was so close... NY Times says that it wasn't the track though.
Someone died? D:
yeah he was louging to fast or something on a practice run. I'm not sure how to spell it. It's really super sad though
The article said something about entering late into one turn, him trying to fix it for the last turn and he lost control. He flipped over the walls that are suppose to keep the lugers in and hit the metal support bars on the other side.
Yeah which to me, even as a canadian living four hours outside Vancouver, makes me think that the track walls should have been higher to avoid any accidents.
Maybe they were built to some olympic specification though? I dunno. A lady at work said they showed footage of it happening on tv and that once he hit the post he didn't move at all and so probably died instantly. Really it's horrible to think about, plus he was young like 21 and it's not a good start to the Olympics :( |
Yeah, I don't know what happened. I saw the footage on TV and I couldn't tell if the blades (?) of the luge hit the back of his head or anything. He went pretty high and I know a lot of people we upset that those posts didn't have any sort of protective covering.
Yeah, he was only 21 years old. The Georgia Olympians still walked the opening ceremony and had black bands around there arms and a black ribbon on their flag. |
Awe it's all so sad. why do bad things have to happen to nice people? :P
I dunno. It's even worse in my eyes cause he was so very close to the Olympics... ;_;
Yes that's what i said, like if he had competed and then slipped and died on the way to the plane home or something, but to go all that way and train so hard, put your whole life towards a goal and then right on the eve of the completion die in a tragic accident... it's really too much.. I'm a super frustrated hater of near-misses
This might be an odd way of thinking of it, but...At least he isn't around to be disappointed?
Idk. Some athletes I know would probably kill themselves if they broke their neck or something and became paralyzed, they're probably much rather die doing something they loved, then live never being able to do it again. Just a thought, he might not have been like that but still. >>" <flails> http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...dkid/024-3.jpg POST. OR I WILL EAT YOU. |
All the way on the 3rd page!
Thi is horrible! Love for TK! |
Purple!
I had purple in the front of my hair one time and my grandma nearly disowned me. When my hair was blue i didn't go visit her XD |
MHM. And lolll. My hair has been teal, light purple dark purple, and pink now. ^^
My hair is too dark to take any dye unless I bleach it first. ;_;
i had to bleach mine out to hold the blue. and then I got called blues clues cause it was highschool. And a couple people called me smurfet and i had to tell them that smurfet has blue skin and yellow hair and then they were sad so i mentioned that everyone else was calling me blues clues so they could try that.... im really too nice XD
I have fairly resistant hair as well. Have to use a pretty high volume peroxide to get it to lift.
But I'm really scared of bleaching it :'( And I don't want to get it done in a salon coz it costs infinite D:
Personally I like dark hair. Mine is jet black naturally. I did have it red once, and did have to lighten it first but I only ever did that once.
