Alice finished sandwiching the tarts together and set them on a plate delicately."Perfect!" she said excitedly,throwing her first in the air eagerly.She put the rest of the creme in the icebox fro later use.Alice opened the window,letting fresh air in.

As the fresh air wafted into the kitchen the delicious scent of pastries wafted out toward Nightshade. Definitely strawberries she smiled and knocked three sharp knocks. She then stepped back a half a pace so she didn't intimidate whomever answered.

Alice walked out of the kitchen and went to answer the front door.She opened it,smiling."What brings you out here?" 'Atleast its not a monster!I wonder how they developed that talent of knocking on doors.'

Naomi heard a knock on the door as she headed downstairs. "I'll get it!" she called to her sister. and she opened the door.

The witch blinked at the two young women crowding the threshold.
From beneath her purple veil she returned the eldest's smile and introduced herself.

Hello dears. My name is Nightshade and I am from the far side of the Kingdom.
I understand you have some interest in magic? Perhaps you would like to learn a bit more about the Arts?

From seemingly nowhere she produced two scrolls. A light blue one and one that was silver.

Alice examined the witch carefully,thinking.'Nightshade is a deadly plant...Can she be trusted?' "What do you think,Naomi?" she asked cheerfully.

Naomi looked at her sister and waited to detect the subtle changes in her face as to wheather to accept the womans offer or not. It was true that they were interested in magic but she was not quite as good as her sister at it.

"Um where there is a lot that I need to learn..."

"sure why not ^_^"

"All right then.Come in."Alice said,stepping away from the door."Would you like anything?"

((Hm. May I jump in as well? xD))

A good natured chuckled escaped Nightshade's lips. She understood the hesitation.

Fair enough darlings you've no reason to trust me. I could tell you of heroic deeds but what on this earth would give you reason to believe me? All I can do is be as honest as possible and leave the decision to you.

I have come here seeking apprentices because dark times lie ahead. The Kingdom has been threatened and only powerful magics can hope to beat back the Shadows. It is my hope that by taking novices under my wing that together we can throw enough good at the bad to keep it at bay.

Name: Malowa
Species: Half shadow, half witch
Looks: Black hair and orange eyes, she is short and small but makes up for it with a tenacious can-do attitude.
Short bio: Raised by her mother, the witch, Malowa has grown to hate whenever people refer to shadows as evil, her father was kind and she has known other shadows that are kind as well.
Abilities: Able to use simple magic and can make herself unnoticeable by almost everyone but other shadows (shadow blending).

Malowa stood completely still blended into the shadow of a tree. She was listening to the conversation of the witches in the house in front of her, not really all too interested in it. To her, it was just another set of people thinking that all shadows and dark things were evil, or so it appeared.

"If you'll excuse me,I'll bring some delicious treats and drinks."Alice said happily and going into the kitchen.

"Then I think the silver is best for you Miss Naomi!" She tossed the younger sister the silvery scroll.

"And for you?" She said following Alice inside, "The blue. Each scroll is enchanted to enhance the abilities you already possess. The silver scroll is responsive to emotions, instinct and so you see? Is is best for your sister then. When she needs magic it will be there.

You must be curious how the blue scroll will serve you? This scroll is responsive to thought and focus. Things wont "just happen" but magic will be there when you concentrate upon it."

Nightshade tilted her head at Naomi ".. My name? I thought.. oh well! I am Nightshade."

Despite herself, she glanced over her shoulder and back outside.
Nothing seemed out of place but it had seemed the young one hadn't been speaking with the witch.

but that Alice and I did not ever see her, okay??))

Malowa shifted nervously, only a fraction of movement but enough so that she froze midway through. Hopefully it would just seem as though a leaf fell or something else had moved. She felt her stomach rumble with hunger when the witches talked of food.

To activate the scrolls you only need to break the wax seal. The runic alphabet and magical sigils will likely be unreadable to you but if you want to know what they say I will oblige that information. You will feel different. Perhaps a little dizzy but such a small side effect for such wondrous talents...

Naomi reached out her hands to catch the silvery scroll but it fell just out of her reach and onto the floor. "I'm so sorry, I'm a clutz" she appologised very quitcly to Nightshade and gathered the scroll off the floor taking one last look outside before she turned her atteintion to the scroll. "Um can I read it now?" she asked not entirely sure about the magic only being there when she needed it....

If you choose to open the scroll. It will be done. The magic will add itself to the magic you already have within you.

Alice took out a pitcher of hand squeezed orange juice."Fresh juice and fresh tarts.Help yourself."She looked at the scroll carefully.'No bad aura.'

Naomi looked at the scrool and suddenly it began to shimer in her hands. Then she pased out and fell on the floor.

Nightshade could not resist the delectable treats but as soon as her hand was on one of the tarts there was a THUD!! She dropped the treat and rushed toward the sleeping girl. "This.. was.. no. No. This should not have happened. Was she reading anything before I arrived??"

The witch waved her hands over the unconscious Naomi. She was muttering an incantation but it proved useless. The younger girl was in a deep sleep state.

Malowa felt a shiver go down her spine as she felt magic, powerful magic, radiate from the house. I hope none of the nasty ones felt it... She tensed up, feeling that the shadows within the area were going to raid the house within the next two days. She sat there, debating whether or not to help the three inside.

"She most likely writing in her room." Alice said,kneeling by her sister.
