she giggled then sighed while the pain began to diminish, she gritted her teeth, eyes growing heavier "were you marked?" she asked softly "if you're a fallen that means you were holy at some point.. did.. they mark you too?" she asked again, her wings slackening in his hands, she leaned against him just the slightest bit, although she was still a child she giggled, blushing from the fact that, he cared. He had taken the initiative to actually ease her pain "Akio..?" she asked again, wanting to thank him but couldnt figure out how to express the level of gratitude she felt.

Akio stood there looking at Calva sadly. "My mark?...yes I did have one, but I'd rather not show it." he said softly as he looked at his feet. His mark had been removed completely and replaced with the sign of 'tainted'. He didnt want anyone to see it since it was like a curse on him, anyone who had seemed to see it so far had hated him.

She turned around and smiled while looking up at him, although she was only thirteen, she surpassed even the most elite god, Zeus "i wont hate you" she giggled, lightly wrapping her arms around his chest, resting the side of her face against him "promise" she giggled a small amount before pulling back "s-s..sorry for hugging you..." she didnt look up at him, she instead focused on her own feet, hoping not to have offended him.

Akio looked at Calva and smiled, he placed his hand on her chin and raised her head to look at him. "Dont worry...I didnt mind..." he said with a happy tone. He let go of her and back up a bit, he turned around taking off his shirt and showing her his back. There were several marks all combined together showing the sign of 'tainted' and 'fallen'.

she gasped, feeling repulsed by them, but not by him. By what her own kind had done to such a gentle soul, she lightly stepped over to him, running her delicate fingertips over the markings, tears welling in her eyes "i.. want.. to change these.. i want to give you your wings back.. but.. i-i.. i dont know how..." she cried out, fingertips glowing just the slightest amount before the light which was emitted faded into their surroundings.. "h..how.. how could they do this to you?" she mused.. pulling her hand away from his flesh.

Akio picked up his shirt and put it back on, he turned around looking at her sadly. "Please Calva...dont cry." he started to wipe her tears away from her face and smiled lightly, he was a bit shocked when he heard that she wanted to somehow change them. "Y-you want to change them?" she was the first person to ever care for him. It seemed strange to him because hes never felt compassion towards him before.

she nodded "i.. i want to change them.. i .. i really do.. you dont deserve to be condemned! you deserve to have a full life filled with love and compassion.. not the cruel remarks of others about a fate you never bargained for!! it's.. it's not fair!" she whined.

a feather which had fallen from her wings, shifted in appearance. This caught Calva's attention. She picked it up and smiled "i.. have an idea..." she spoke more rationally "if you dont mind.. i'm going to change these marks.. okay?" she wanted his consent before she undid what was so wrongfully forced upon an undeserving soul.

Akio gasped a bit when he heard her say that she could possibly get rid of the markings on his back. "Alright...I trust you." Usually he wouldnt trust anyone to try to get rid of the marks since many people have asked to get rid of them but he wouldnt let them, but to him Calva was special he felt a strange kindness he never felt before from her.

her smile grew wider once the feather, which had fallen from her wings, emitted an almost eerie illumination, she walked behind him, lightly pushing his shirt up, and kissed the feather. When her lips touched it's softness, she inhaled the light, held it in her lungs before leaning up and pressed her lips against the marks, the light wrapped itself around the etchings, shifting them back into what they were before his damnation. When she stepped back, she hiccuped, burying her face into each of his wings, allowing the same light to escape her, the last remnants wrapping around the mighty structures, allowing the black pigmentation to fade back into white..

..after all of this was done, she collapsed, body slick with a cold sweat.. exhausted.

Akio no longer felt the scars on his back and turned around to thank her, and noticed she was on the floor. "Calva!" he kneeled down picked her up in his arms. "Are you okay?" he said softly to her. He turned his head around to the tavern owner. "Do you have any spare rooms right now?"

Mira watched this. "Aw that's so sweet. I'm feeling generous so for everyone's first drink is on the house tonight." She said smiling. "Just let me know if you'd like anything. Your green tea is going to be on the table by you." She said to Akio and walked back over to the bar.

Mira nodded. "Yes, we do. Up the stairs and the second door on the right is open." She said and handed him a key. "If you need anything just ask."

She smiled weakly before curling her arms to her chest, and snuggling in closer to him, she yawned and nodded "just tired is all" she giggled "how do you feel?" she asked, her own voice strained, she looked over at Mira before smiling slightly more "i'm sorry for being so.. frightened earlier.. i just.. i'm not sure what happened" she yawned slightly more, eyes starting to drift shut, body slackening just the smallest amount "if i fall asleep on you.. i'm sorry" she giggled again feeling her consciousness beginning to fade

((be right back!!! dinner calls!!!!))

Mira shook her head. "It's alright Calva. You don't need to apologize for being frightened. We all get that way so its fine. I understand." She smiled softly. "You just rest."

Akio grabbed the key and walked upstairs carrying Calva in his arms, he brought her into the room that was open and laid her down on the bed. He grabbed the sheets and covered her up. "Thank you...again, Calva..." he said softly, he leaned over slightly seemingly to kiss her but forced himself back, he shook his head alot and left the room, and back downstairs. He sat down at the table where Mira had put his drink and looked back at her. "Thank you again...for the drink and the room...." He suddenly noticed that he didnt introduce himself to her yet, and got up to bow his head. "By the way, my name is Akio Daishi...and who would you be miss?" he said happily.

((DINNER?!?! lucky! I havent had anything to eat all day and I wont have anything in a while :())

Calva, already asleep by the time she was delivered to her room yawned widely and rolled to the side, her own bow poking deeply into her back, she woke long enough to remove it from her back and place it under the bed. Before she was able to pull herself back onto the bed, she fell back to sleep, in just a matter of minutes she fell to the floor, with a small thud she curled into a ball, still, sound asleep. She had no idea what Akio had nearly done, which, was left better that way considering she wouldnt have known how to react..

...it didnt take Calva long at all to wake, strap her bow back on and find her way downstairs, she, instead of jumping onto Akio's back like she had so desperately wanted, sat down next to him, looking at the tea in his hand, then looked over at Mira "would you mind if i asked for a small glass of wine, served in an amethyst cup? it wont get me intoxicated that way" she giggled, firmly believing this.

Akio looked over to Calva and almost fell to the floor not noticing she was there at first. "Whoa!" he caught his balance back in the chair and looked at her. "How are you feeling Calva?" he said softly with a gentle smile on his face.

"pretty good... still a bit drained" she laughed shyly "i.. never sleep for long.. that's the longest i've slept in about three years perhaps..." she mused, finger to her chin before pulling a towel off of one of his stark-white wings "why not show these off?" she asked shyly, incredulous of her own work "they're truly magnificent you know.." this caused a light blush to sweep across her cheeks, giving her a more humanly appearance.

((O_o cookie!!! -gobbles cookie- RAWR!! Me cookie monster!!! lmao))

Akio looked at his toweled up wings wondering that they have to be dry by now, he slowly took the towels off realving his white feathers, at first he was still shocked to see them in that color, it had been so long since they've been white like that. "Calva, thank you so much. I am in a debt I cannot repay you for." he said softly and happily, after not spreading out his wings in a while he sat there and strectched out his wings in several directions. "Ah..that feels better." he folded them back against the chair

she giggled and quickly jumped on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck and hanging between each of his wings, just before they folded back against his back she giggled "that tickles!" she giggled more and more before gripping his shoulders and pulling herself up "you can give me a hug and i'll consider us even!" she exclaimed happily "i'm probably going to be punished greatly for this.. but.. it was worth it!"

As Akio's wings folded back and accidently tickling her, he turned his head around smiling at her. "Okay then." he got up and hugged her tightly. Suddenly as he heard her talk about her being punished he seemed to get worried about what she meant. "Calva...what do you mean your going to get punished?" he asked worriedly thinking it could be another work of the gods.

((LMAO! -gobbles cookies one by one- YUMS!!!!! CHOCOLATE CHIP!? EVEN MORE YUMS!! -gobbles cookies even more-))

"i-i undid one of their punishments.. which means.. I will be punished myself.. most likely stripped of my demi-goddess status or never allowed to see my mother again.. she fought hard enough to get them to allow her to keep me.. let alone raise me as her own as i should be... they wont exactly take to me undoing one of their punishments.." she sighed deeply hugging him back "oh well, it was worth it!"

Akio stood there speechless not knowing what to say, he didnt want Calva not to be able to see her mom ever again because of what she had done to him. He felt guilty for getting her dragged into the affairs of a fallen. "Calva...I'm so sorry...I didnt know this could happen, heaven has changed so much since I've been gone." he said sadly and walked away from her, he didnt think she should talk or see him for what would happen to her.

((-backs away from cookies- too much...me too full X_X))

"no!" she ran up to him, quickly tackling him to the ground and pinning his arms to the floor just above his head, she was sitting on his lower chest, staring down into his eyes "no.. no.. i wanted to give you what you deserve, if i'm punished for doing something right, then so be it! i cant allow their corruption damn someone to an eternity of hell! it isnt right! it isnt what i stand for!" she was crying again, her grip loosening against his wrists "please.. y-you have to believe me.. i couldnt let you continue a punishment you never deserved.." she spoke again "they wont find out for a long.. long time" she was giggling madly at this point "please.. dont leave me.." she begged

Akio looked up at her shocked to see how quickly she had slammed him to the ground. "Calva....you....I wont ever let you be punished, I cant let you be hurt because of whats happened to me..." he said sadly still laying there on the floor looking at her cry over him the tears landing on his chest. "Please dont cry...I dont want to see such a beautiful, young girl cry........and Calva I promise you..I wont leave you, I--I" he wanted to tell her that he had loved her but couldnt bring himself to say it.

"y..you wont?" she smiled through her tears, looking down into his eyes, she let go of his wrists but did not bother to move, the perfect curls of her hair bounced lightly while she shifted just a small bit lower, picking up each perfectly formed tear "they're worth so much.." she held up the rough gemstone, watching it glisten like Orion's belt. Each star in the sky was her mother's first lover, every consolation, was her second, Calva's father. Too young to know how to express the depth of her emotion for Akio, she just sat there, grinning stupidly and blushing madly, they had just met and already there was a connection. Her wings flapped lightly when she giggled again, her laugh was like the harmonious strum of a harp "It's okay, i wont suffer.. much" she joked, it was dark but still funny to her nonetheless.

a sentence was left unspoken, she looked down at him again then tilted her head, still somewhat worked up, the tears still flowed down her cheeks, her breath was still jerky when she asked one last thing "you.. what?"
