“Don’t do this, don’t do that… How on earth is a Mei supposed to tease you?” She asked with a relieved chuckle, tilting her head as he said he wouldn’t slap her. She wasn’t so sure… especially considering some of the things she did when she felt like getting a little silly. Shaking her head a moment she then looked up as he spoke of going insane. “Judging by your hurting yourself I don’t think you enjoy it too much….” Mei said with a sigh, shaking her head. “Sorry thinking aloud…”

He had shrugged a bit. That still damp tail uncurling from around his waist. With his fur went and the way it laid against his tail, it was almost easy to the see the few scars that marred it as well. He rested his hand on the center of his chest. "I have scars everywhere, except my chest and my back." He had frowned slightly and then smiled again. Starting to pull those sleevelets back on, hiding the scars on his arms. "Let's go inside, imoutosan." That tail twitched a bit as he moved past her and towards the door.

Hmm that was the place most people were scared she thought absently. For a moment she simply watched him move past and into the door but with a shrug she went ahead and followed. She really didn’t know what to do with herself right now anyway… part of her just wanted to go to the room and switch form then read through the dairy some more. She didn’t know how normal people could stand being one gender all the time…then again their souls didn’t reject it like hers did..

Sits silently in the corner, sipping on his flask watching everyone around the room and listening for any changes.

Jack's soul fought a similiar conflict as Mei's except. It wasn't gender that his wanted to switch. "I do wish the snow would stop...I have things to do..and I could do them in the snow..but I'd probably end up just getting lost." He was mumbling to himself and frowning a bit as he moved to a table and sat down lazily in one of the chairs. Leaning it back on two legs and propping his feet up on the table. His eyes were on Mei. "Imoutosan, when the snow stops, I'll show you something neat."

“there are ways to prevent getting lost…” Mei said with a shrug, tilting her head to the side as she watched him. “Show me something neat? Why don’t you show me now?” She asked quietly, curious now. It was an interesting thing to hear, however, as most of her expected that once the snow stopped he and for that matter Sikura would leave and she’d be back to her usual lonely journey of before…trying to understand that which was passed down to her….

He shook his head. "No..Not here and not now. Too many eyes and ears." He had shivered lightly at the thought of so many seeing what he was going to show Mei. "Besides..it's no one elses business but our own.." He tilted his head back a bit as a sudden thought struck him. He looked around and inhaled deeply. "Imoutosan, where's my tenshi-chan?" That childish whining hinted at the edge of his voice.

Rin walked into this strange place, covered in snow shivering cold. She glanced from right to left and decide to take a set in the closest corner near by. People looked to be enjoying themselves to much so she kept her distances. Shaking her hair off, the snow began to melt into her clothes. " ehh.. "

In the inn the tigeress mutant woke. Her blue cat- like eyes filtered the light in before the images became clear. She dressed and threw on her cloak to hide her tail from children. After fixing her hair and her appearance at tad she went into the world once more. The inn was still warm and fresh layer of snow had fallen but the winds still looked terrible.

Too many eyes and ears? Now this was intriguing…she couldn’t help but be curious. Perhaps it would be something worth the wait she thought quietly, looking up as Jack asked about ’his tenshi-chan’. Maybe he would like her back… She couldn’t help but chuckle, “somewhere thinking of you I imagine…” She finally answered, mischief in her gaze. She glanced towards each of the other two she saw move, rin and runes both…

"Thinking of me? What about me?" He blinked. "Honestly I can't figure out why that girl wants to be around me so much.." His greenish yellow catlike eyes flickered across the room as he looked at Runes for a moment. Another nekojin? No..something about her was different..she didn't smell right. She was something else. A tiger, but not a nekojin. His lips curled down in a thoughtful frown. The black cat ears atop his head twitched a bit and that long black tail continued to sway slowly behind him.

“you really are oblivious aren’t you?” Mei laughed then shook her head before reaching over to pat his hand only to lean back again. “ Oh the usual things a girl in her place is thinking. How attractive you are and how strong, and perfect.” She further teased, chuckling as she eyed him closely. She keep giving him clues…would these finally be enough for him to realize ?

Jack stared at Mei as if she'd grown another head or two. Those ears had drooped a bit and his tail had stopped it's swaying. "A-attractive?" He blinked a few times. "She..she thinks I'm attractive?" He shivered a bit, those feet brought off of the table and he was standing in a matter of moments. "Perfect?" He had shivered again, a bit more violently than before. Jack backed up a few steps. "I'm not attractive and I've never been perfect." He frowned deeply, uncertainty was in his eyes as he stared at Mei. "Why? Why does she think those things about me? She should think them about someone who thinks the same about her..I mean.." He blinked.

“not attractive? What a silly thing to say… I’d sleep with you and you can’t even make me blush and melt like you do her…” Mei chuckled, simply watching him with a raised eyebrow a moment. Now at least she should find out something…still as he backed up she stood from the table, putting her hands in her pockets as she gazed at him. “as to why… you’d have to ask her… now calm down and sit.. You’re being as emotional as she si…” Mei suggested, blinking a little as for a moment he looked so terrified she felt a little bad for him…

He shivered at her words, frowning deeply. "No no no." He shook his head hard. "Bad things happen when people think those things about me." His voice had dropped to a whisper and he inhaled deeply. He hesitated for a moment before returning to his seat. His eyes on Mei. "....besides..I don't take women as lovers.."

“Bad things? What do you mean?” She asked with a raise of her eyebrow, remembering how he tensed up when she’d moved him out of the way of the window. As he said the last, however, she chuckled and murmured “So you are gay…” She stated quietly, thinking of Sikura. “Poor girl falling for a gay man..” She added with a sigh as she sat down and leaned back in her chair looking at the roof. “Looks like your’e going to be a heartbreaker sweetheart..” She added thoughtfully as she gazed at the roof still.

He shook his head a bit. "..Just..things.." He shrugged a bit shaking his head again mumbling softly. "..well...I can't help it if I don't find women sexually appealing.." He scowled a bit, bitting his bottom lip behind that mask. Now what was he supposed to do? A sigh escaped him. Perhaps he should just leave now before anything could happen, before the situation got worse.

“Yeah suppose not...still might want to let her know before she falls for you..right now it's just a crush I think..” Mei replied with a shrug, eyeing him a moment as he trailed off. “Just things? That’s not very specific…” She prodded gently, leaning back against her chair in thought. “Does it have anything to do with why you tensed up when I moved you from the window?” She’d figured then that, like most people who had a ’true’ gender, it was just that he’d found her confusing and/or disgusting physically… but as scared as he looked…maybe there was more to it?

He looked up at the ceiling. Not making eye contact with Mei as he shrugged a bit. "..What am I supposed to say to her, then?" He continued to frown behind his mask. "She won't like what I tell her and she'll probably just..." He sighed and trailed off, not wanting to finish that sentance. Jack tore his gaze from the ceiling to look at Mei for a moment. "...You suddenly grabbed me from behind..I thought.." he shook his head. "..doesn't matter what I thought...You wouldn't do anything like that." At least..he hoped she wouldn't do anything like what he had been thinking. "..and..maybe Sikura wouldn't do anything like that either.." He was looking at the table top now.

“Like what….? Hurt you?….maybe even intimately?” Mei asked it quietly and casually but she was starting to have an idea what he meant…and if she was right… Her flirty antics must be torture for him…especially since they always came as a surprise… For a moment…she felt a little guilty as she studied the roof still in thought… Thinking of his earlier problem, however, she sighed and murmured “you just tell her the truth…and if you want I can be there to make sure nothing happens…” She knew with sikura it wouldn’t, that sikura was honestly a gentle soul but reassuring him was the important thing…

".....Maybe..." He stared at the table's top for a moment and shrugged, another shiver running through his body. "...She'll just get upset with me." He continued to frown. "..I.." he looked at Mei. "...maybe I should just leave to avoid conflict...wouldn't that be better?" He already knew the answer to that and shook his head a bit. "...No.....sometimes running away isn't the solution.."

“I’m sure she’ll get upset with you but she’ll get over it …nobody’s going to hurt you… Not while I‘m around…” Mei trailed off, looking away as she decided on her instincts that it was probably for the best if she make this promise…and keep it. “Look…Jack… I’m sorry…for everything. I won’t bother you anymore with all the flirting and crap. I’m going to go get some cider, want some?” She asked the last question cheerfully as she stood, before he could even respond to her promise or apology. She then looked at him with a grin, the guilt almost gone from her eyes as she put on the act of cheer.

Sighs as he sits at his table listening to everything going on around him. "Why, lord, did you send me.....you could have sent one of the others, not me. I'm better on the front lines, no as a bloody bodyguard." His ears perk up immediately and he looks around worried that someone may have heard him.

The mutant walked into the dinning area and got her herself a meal. She sat down to eat and heard someone in prayer to human God. She was unsure of why he was doing such a thing. It seemed rather odd. She slipped at her glass of milk and purred softly happy with the gentleness of the day.
