I do that too. I forget about Mene and then I remember for some reason and come back.

Readera, a bit of both the book and the word. I haven't actually seen the musical. A clip here or there but never the whole show and certainly not live and in person.

Li, that's awesome. I've been looking into Asatru but can't claim it yet. Or rather won't. I don't feel like I know enough to be able to answer someone's questions. So I stick with the umbrella term of pagan.

I've had my Mene account for a few months... I had left it for a while, but someone on Ernya told me about the event, so here I am. o_o

@ Li: LOL, that's pretty funny. I always remember I have my account here but I usually kinda neglect it. I hate how the forums always move so slowly and the Role Plays aren't usually that great in my opinion. >.<

I get emails from here still,and usually pop in for the events.

The slowness of the forums agrivates me too. But the sense of community is nice.

i claimed it last year i think, my now fiancee is Asatru and he taught me what i know (still learning though!) :)

@ Readera- Asatru is a religion where one worships the Norse gods such as Odin and Thor (just to name a couple more widely known ones)

@zigbigadorlube - i know right?! i'm in two role plays right now, and only the one gets posts every day (and it's usually once a day for me because the guy i interact with usually posts only once a day DX)

Ancient Religion that has experienced a quiet revival. The ways of the Nordic people. Though in modern era anyone could claim it if they so choose. Some of the Gods and Goddesses are Odin, Thor, Tyr and Idunn. I wish I knew more about the goddesses but Idunn is whom I felt a connection with.

I feel like i connect with Odin the most, he feels like a father figure to me. If i had to pick a goddess with whom i felt the most connected i would have to say Freyja since i have a lot of cats :)

Yeah, that is the one thing I like about the site though, people are actually nice. Gaia is so greedy that most people are pretty rude. The small atmosphere can be kinda nice too. Sometimes you see avis that you recognize and so forth.

The fact that you see the admins in threads just talking is nice too.

Yeah, that is nice. You do sometimes see them on Gaia but don't often have conversations with them. I like it that the NPCs pop in from time to time as well, especially Yummeh. ^_^

I like that about Mene too, that NPCs and admins can and will hang about with "common" folk.

Li, my sweetie hooked my interest as well. He has been practicing for a few years now.

The rudeness, and the lack of community is what pushed me away from Gaia.

Meh... I'm still on Gaia. I joined there waaaay before I came here and so that's where all my friends are. I have so much going on there already that it would definitely be the last site that I would quit. I have friends from real life on there and stuff so that keeps it more homey. I don't know many people here so it gets kinda boring for me I think...

i like that about Mene too. there's so much to like about Mene more than gaia, though i still go on gaia, i think i'm liking Mene more :yes:
people do tend to be very rude on gaia :( you ask a question and you get a dozen people talking down to you like you're a moron. there are a few nice people, just getting fewer and further between

@ Sen Lee- yes, Freyja has a chariot driven by two cats :) i also pray to her for help in financial situations
