I'm not big on sports... but the Olympics are so much more than just the sports that are competing in. They give me hope that maybe, just maybe, actual cooperation around the world is possible. Maybe not soon... but eventually.
Then again, North and South Korea are pissing with each other again and didn't march together during the procession of nations. |
i just watch if its on, its pretty interesting... but i'm more excited for the world cup \^0^/

The gold for the men's moguls was really neat. It was fun watching the medal awarding and watching the fact that he'd won gold settle in. I don't remember his name... but Canada always will. o_o He won the first home gold ever for them.

I love watching the diving and gymnastics. *_* The only part of gymnastics I don't like is the balance beam... I don't think it's all that pretty. But the other versions are spiffy. And watching the men, showing off their muscles on the rings... = w= |
I'vve only watched a bit of the Ice Skating, so far. Its only on if the rest of my family is home, so. xD

Me too. Except the US generally isn't as good as the countries that get a lot of snow, soo.

I'm kinda all over the map with cheering. I was rooting for Zhen and Zhao from China, I want Takahashi Daisuke from Japan... or maybe Jeremy Abbot from the US to win. I look forward to seeing Shaun White, too. *shrugs*

The Russians didn't medal in pairs figure skating, I know... It was China, China, Germany. I think the swan pair came in fourth or fifth?
