A lot of the people i know with asthma become really good swimmers

XDD....Snowboards do look cooler..I wonder which is harder though >>;;

I would think snowboarding would be easier... With a snowboard you only have to worry about staying upright. With skiis you have to worry about staying upright and not getting your skiis tangled together. @[email protected]

I wonder if swimming would help the people with asthma. My husband has it... but he's afraid of water. x_X Someone tried to teach him when he was little, but the guy was a jerk and kept letting him sink! D= But... swimming is good for the lungs, so I'd like for him to learn...

Try getting him to just play in it and move from there. It's a good thing to know how to swim as a safety thing.

Oh but snowboard cross is crazy! You should see how many times they crash, it's very exciting. :lol:

Swimming is good for all around, and it's super low impact, and works muscles you don't even know you have!

But, swimming is also harder to teach at an older age....stinking teacher was a jerk huh? =n=

Pretty much everything is harder to learn when your an adult.

Yeah, yesterday there was a minor crash because someone's board ran into someone else's. But... imagine if that had been skiis! @[email protected]

I did manage to get his feet into the ocean last we went to the beach. I figure if I can get him to be near the water with me, I can eventually get him to get into it with me. =3

One would hope they could control their falls... on the other hand, I remember footage of Shaun White introducing his face to the half-pipe, so I'm not so sure. o_o

I would think that how to fall corectly would be a part of training. Heart count off! I have 16 hearts now and I need 29 to get the fireworks.

I have 13.75 (with this post), and... I guess I might get the love potion at 35. I dunno yet, though. o_o Maybe I'll just build up my hearts and trade them in for red envelopes, then shop at the event store.

Do they? :XD I suppose it makes sense! They probably do get told how to avoid major injury when they're gonna crash.
But they do also have a lot of protective gear on mostly, too, right? :D And they're all very tough!

I'm just guessing. But my softball coach taught us how to slid into base corectly so we wouldn't scrap our knees. I never could do that. I scraped them up pretty bad, but no scars so, I'm good.
