She's trying to come up with excuses, but its getting really hard to avoid it... and her 90-year-old unwell grandmother is there just to make matters worse. And I want her to come out because I think that her parents would understand more than most would, but there's always that little seed of doubt. I think that it would help her anxiety to get it off her chest, but I don't want to encourage her to do something that might end with her being without a family for awhile...

Not that I'm much better... I still haven't come out to my parents yet. >>

I think you both just need to have faith:) You never know what will happen! They could be completely fine with it, especially if they love you. And it's Christmas:) Eveything goes better on Christmas!
