And all of the Harry Potter movies...just because I'm addicted to them all over again.

@ Margeurite, true that!

Margeurite: Let me just say, I love the layering in your avvie. You remind me of the White Queen from Alice in Wonderland.

I also really liked the movie Australia...probably just because I love Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.

I really wanna watch the Harry Potter movies, but my one friend is obsessed with the books and she won't let me watch any of the movies until I read the books first. haha. At any rate, I'm more of a Lord of the Rings girl myself.

Hmm really good movies: A Beautiful Mind, V for Vendetta, and The Prestige are all excellent.

Children of Men, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus are a few of my favorites.

Is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus a steampunk movie? (it sounds like one)

Wynna: I used to hate Harry Potter when it first came out, and now I love it!

halferty: You got it! That was the inspiration for my avi ^^

Tried watching Lord of the Rings since my English teacher recommended it to me. I couldn't get myself into it.

@ Halferty, there's a woman at my work who will not read nor watch any of the movies/books until all of the movies are released. Then she plans on reading all the books at once, and then watching all the books at once.
When I found out when the last book was being released I reread all of the books again, just so I would be 'prepared' going into the final book.

Margeurite: aww. I guess it is the sort of story not everyone can get into. Particularly the books.. they're very wordy.

@ Marguerite, when the books first came out and my Mom bought them for me. I was like 'Why do I want to read a book about a wizard, this is stupid.' But then I really liked them, and I guess so did everyone else.

halferty: I want to, really, but it's so over my head! It's been popular for so long, too, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

Needless to say my attention was diverted to this site and Facebook while it was on my TV.

Wynna: I was exactly the same! It was like...WHY DOES EVERYONE CARE ABOUT THIS? And then they started playing the movies on abcfamily...took me nine or ten years to admit that I actually liked it.

@Roxy, wouldn't that be a little gross? It would definitely have to be mixed with something for me...

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus isn't really Steampunk. It has some elements, but it's set in modern times.
