I'd say it's too late to put ice on it, it already stopped hurting. I tried to find an ice pack in the freezer, but I couldn't find it. I guess it should be in the other freezer, but I forgot to check in it ^^'

then take off a layer of tissue or just apply it directly to your skin now it;s warmed up a bit. xD
I feel like your mother or something.

Sounds a bit like trial and error to me. Most of the 'instant cold compress' things that I am aware of say to not apply them directly to the skin. Their cold is also a result of a chemical reaction...

Crow, not the stuff I use, you put it in the fridge lol. It doesn't rely on endothermic reactions at all.

When I want to heal a cold I have, I just plain stay home for one day and lay in my bed for a while and it just goes away. Usually.

Well they say that if you are cold you should drink cold things and if your hot you should drink hot things, because when you drink something cold it lowers your bodies internal temperature meaning the body automatically works to heat it's self up and visa versa.
Tea is good though, it's good for the synapses, peppermint tea is good, it clears the nose.

If your feeling sick lemonade works a treat. Preferably warm and slightly flat, but cold and a little flat works well too.
----------
if you have phlegm in your throat then fizzy lemonade works great it breaks through it all.
and fi you have a sore throat a swear by honey and lemon
(honey, squeeze of lemon juice, hot water till half full, lemonade to fill up the rest of the cup with a slice of lemon in the mug)

no just normal lemonade. ^^
the citrus element breaks through the phlegm, just like how house hold cleaners have citrus in them

But, some lemonade purchased from stores can only have a little bit of lemon in them, so I wouldn't be a good idea to make some instead of purchasing?

The only australian food-related thing about is barbecuing. There's a lot of polish ones, though.
