ToriKat: WIP <3


I just couldn't get the hat to come out right, so I went with a cute ponytail look instead :)

heh... you straight away use black pen for drawing?

o.o I don't trust pens for drawing. I do a lot of sketchy lines then erase then do one line... FOllowed by more sketchy lines rofl.

I was commented by one of my drawing teacher of drawing 'furry' lines. XD

I hate sketching -- I never do it, ever lol
But yes, I go straight away to the permanence~
It's charcoal, not pen, though ^_^;;

It seems to do pretty well for me, when I just go in and don't plan~

I'm not the sort of artist to plan lol
I'm the kind of artist to start drawing and the lines/designs just flow from my hand, so to speak~
It's as if my hand already knows where it's going and what it's doing, I just have to let it -- so I do~
I can see how it's going to be completed -- so I don't need to sketch lol

@ Meave - xD I don't have furry lines. I have sketchy lines. Sketchy as in sketchy and as in sketching.

@ Emma - I don't know enough to do those fancy little circles and lines if that's what your'e talking about. But like, I don't draw a line once and have it perfect. But I don't erase it either. So I end up with sketchy sketchy lines!

I have no idea what you're talking about...
I was talking about the lines of the artwork itself, and the design as in how the piece is going to look when it's done o_O;;

And I don't have them perfectly either -- but I morph them into how I want them~
It's not sketching or anything, merely working with the shading and lines to get them how they're supposed to look lol
It's always solid and forming and permanent, if that makes sense xD;
Maybe if I showed you the WIP of one of my drawings?
It might help explain it better XD;

@ Emma - Some artists work out anatomy and stuff by drawing circles and making lines before putting down their final lines. I'm saying that I don't really do that, but my work's pretty sketchy anyways. xD

I think I tried that a couple of times but I never found help from that~
So I don't do it xD

xD I don't know how to make them helpful to me, so I stopped trying.

I found it more work than needed~
I put the same lines where they were going to go anyways -- so having to either cover up the sketch lines or erase them without damaging the real lines was just a pain XD
ESPECIALLY on the face~

*shrugs* xD i'm not a hardcore artist so I wouldn't know. Just a hardcore art collector.

I want to teach Art :3
I also plan on getting a library science degree :3

I want to try and make a difference in the outlook the art community~
I grew up with it being shunned and hated. I want to change that :3

A worthy vision. I could never be a teacher, I don't have the patience to nuture. Which is why I don't want to be amother, either.
