It's an old one (should be about 7 or 8 years old by now), but very, very resilient. I got mine second-hand from a friend, for she was getting a new tablet at that time. rofl

Graphire's were all they sold in stores, so I've never seen another tablet, lol. Er, wait, I've seen someone wave a Bamboo at me, but I did not like the person and was ignoring them. /her dino-Graphire could eat it for lunch, yeah, that's it.

Wacoms seem to last pretty long unless something goes really wrong with the pen/tablet. I'm always tempted to look at new tablets, but I don't want my old one to die. olol

Yes, that is one of the reasons why I don't mind paying that much to get a Wacom. One of my friend's friend's Wacom apparently fell down 2 flights of stairs and survived. xD
I still have 2 spare nibs for my pen, and by calculation, it should be able to last another 10 years provided nothing else goes wrong. rofl

Iro: It's getting ready for New Year's or something. Preemptive planning!

Oh wow. Mine's traveled quite a bit, in town and up to New York. The pen's suffered so much abuse. One time I did something and I saw all the chips and stuff inside it. 8D *quickly shoved it back together and prayed, haha* I bought mine refurbished, so it was a bit cheaper than retail. And the pen nibs are cheap, so as long as the hardware holds up, the tablet will probably last forever. xD;

That reminds me. *drafts up resolutions I know I won't fulfill*

Haha That's a fair bit of traveling. There are a few deep scratches on my tablet screen now, accidental scratches when the pen nib became too sharp due to shading on the same spot one too many times. =_="
And spare parts here are difficult to find cheap, as they have to be ordered and delivered from Singapore. By the time they arrive, with the rate they are charging, it's better to get a whole new tablet. >_>;

One of my favourite hobbies, that. Of course, if I fulfilled all my goals it might mean the doom of mankind or something. >3>

I'm have one spot kinda worn, but there's not too many scratches on mine, oddly. I either don't use it enough or I have a light touch. xD Oh geez, that's horrible! /smuggles you cheap nibs in letters. D8> I think it was five bucks or something like that for the nibs, it's crazy how stuff adds up when special ordering/shipping/exchange rates factor in to things. x_x

I've used mine for about 5 years, the scratches only came during this year. I'm normally careful with the nib, seems I've been careless this year. *molests tablet* Sorry, widdle tablet* ;-;

In order not to wear my nib down, I flipped the pen upside down and draw with the eraser side. xD I refuse to spend so much for a tablet pen! D:

Cardinal Biggles: Um, the colour preference refers to the colour of the sketch's line art. I usually only add a bit of a different colour if the avi has a darker skintone, things like that. ^^;
