Oh I'm not trying to knock it or anything -- I'm just saying if I had a name that every first born girl in my family had, I'd blow a gasket lol
I like having a unique name -- it makes me more.. me~
People can't say "If only you were more like your Aunt Megan." or "Thank goodness you're not like that no good cousin Megan! You're the good Megan of the family."
And I mean, say it's my Mom's family's tradition~
My mom has 3 siblings, 2 of which have daughters~
I'd have 2 cousins named Megan if they too followed the tradition of it.
I'd die if I had the same name as 2 of my cousins ^_^;;
That was merely my take on it -- I just see it as a conformity and not a uniqueness -- and the fact that I'd have the same name as my cousins, Aunts (possibly my Mother) etc, then it'd just be a major mess on holidays and in general~
In all honesty -- it's great your family has such a long standing tradition :3
And I'm really not trying to knock it or trash it or whatever ^_^;;
Just merely stating my opinion/feelings on the situation in general~

Understandable, however I'm the last male in the line. And I have no aunts or uncles. Therefor it would be kinda cool for me to continue the tradition. :)

Happens though. Some professors are jack-holes. I had very little homework this year. Mostly tests, so that was awesome for me. I prefer tests and projects to nightly homework. It allows my brain to work more freely. :)

For some reason, tests freak me out. :( I usually excel at the homework, but when I have to apply it (and get graded on it) it's like my mind goes into "shut down" mode.

Tests are glorious for me. I love them. I also love quiz shows and games. Puzzles too, my brain just hungers for them. I'm not sure why. I think it's like people who get addicted to working out. They have to do it all the time after a while. ...I've been addicted to both before, so I think it's kinda the same phenomena.
The professor Layton games were awesome!!! And my lady got me the Jeopardy game for the Wii. I love a good brain workout. lol.

I dislike exams, essays and homework... which is why I'm doing an art course! :P (Well, also because it's the only thing I've ever wanted to do for life...)
Still, I've got my BA dissertation to write and it is to be handed in on January 17th, so I do have to worry about it over the holidays. I also have to turn in my portfolio around the same time, so same thing. I should probably get working on those actually...

Hey again everyone. ^^
Yes, I have work over the holidays. A thematic analysis and a critical review. x.x
But the internet and TV are majorly distracting me right now. I haven't seen this episode of Glee. xD

Ugh. D: I just finished my first college application. Only six more to go. Yeesh, these things are time-consuming. I'm applying as a transfer, but I can only imagine how much harder it is for freshman. X.X Those essays don't look fun. And I'd really hate to do seven of them.

SEVEN? OMG that's so many! O_O I think I only applied to three schools, and one was early decision, so in the end, the stress was spaced out over my senior year. XP I didn't get into the early decision school, but I did get into my runner-up dream school and ultimately decided the price wasn't worth it. So I went with the state school and couldn't be happier about it. :D It was hella cheap with my scholarships, so it was totally worth not going to upstate New York (where it snows a LOT -- and I hate snow!) for school. I have no debt, and it's sweet.
Are you transferring from another university, or from a community college, or something else?? *curious*

I'm transferring from a community college. (So this was my first application ever. :XD) I'm really, really excited to transfer to a university! I'm also going for some cheaper schools (same education, better price in my opinion) and some schools right by the Appalachian Mountains so I'm away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. :)

0_0 Is right, applications are tough, and time consuming. All I have to say is thank goodness for the common app - I applied to eleven schools because I wasn't sure (at all) about what I wanted - I can't imagine having to do individual applications for all of those schools, it would have been killer.
@Amethyst: Congrats! I recently transferred from my far away private college to our state school and I'm happy about it too! Transferring is kind of hard during the application process (cause we're an exception to all of the standard stuff - lol) but it's so worth it! Good luck!

lol. I applied to one school, which is a community college trying to acquire university accreditation. I got all the classes I wanted, at the times I wanted, even though I registered like three weeks before school, and I got classes that had almost no homework, and absolutely no papers. :D
I have had fantastic luck this year.
