I take it you guys are changing your majors based on money/job availability then? ^_^;;
I'm a Fine Arts major with an Education Minor, possibly getting a Library of Science degree as well~
Not because there's a lot of money in it, or because there's a crap load of jobs, but because I would rather be doing something I love and enjoy, rather than doing something I sort of like or hate just because it's flourishing with jobs right now hahaha

I can't stand the thought of putting myself through college, only to end up with a career that would earn me the same, or less, than I am making now. But I have considered double-majoring, just b/c I am passionate about Anthro. Linguistic anthro especially.

Haha - I guess I can see your point~
I just think differently :3
Just my viewpoint though LOL
I'm a passionate person, so I tend to follow my passions more than my head XD;

I'm a science geek, so getting paid well to do something I love is fine by me. :D Chemistry major, FTW!

Hahaha -- lucky ;)

I never got the hang of Chemistry o_O;
It wasn't as much like Potions as I thought it would be T_T
We hardly got to do ANY experimenting :(
And what we did do, stank like crazy :(
Definitely wasn't like what you see on TV :/

chemistry is cool... except for the math part of it all. the labs are the only cool thing about it. Me, I'm a history major and a music minor. much easier to understand... more or less <.<

Haha - I could never get into History --- it always bored me ^_^;;
Mainly because all we really learned about were wars ^_^;;

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus when it comes to Chemistry; I'm clearly a minority. I haven't met many chem majors. LOTS of biology and bio chem, but maybe like three chem majors. T^T

History and social studies bore me to tears. I about killed my history teacher my senior year of high school. XD

i actually normally hate history classes. but i love history. my point of view is "what happened and for what reason" I couldn't care less if [historic event] happened on [date], or whatever. i just care it happened. the only dates i need to know are the ones that tells me the current events

Haha I know a person who's doing Bio and Chem :3
So now you have another Chem major ;)

----

Haha -- For the most part, I could care less it happened~
Mainly because you can't do anything to change it and no matter how many times you teach people history, it's never going to change anything because, as you can see, history always repeats itself and people improve and learn from history's mistakes in order to increase their chances of winning the next time lol
It's just a bunch of pointless bullshit and I hate hearing about it over and over and over again lol

Bio because my mom told me to do so.
Business because I planned to go into Fashion Design afterwards...but I got kicked out of Business anyway and the Fashion world is too damn shallow for my tastes. I don't think I'd be able to survive in it.
Law eventually because my mom also told me to do so and considering the type of shiznit my friends get into, they're gonna need a lawyer.

I hated social studies back in grade school but when I found stuff I was actually interested in, things got better. (i.e. historical princesses, Henry VIII and his six wives, Marie Antoinette, the Windsors, go figure).

Ah lol
My mom wanted me to go be a pediatrician~
I told her to shove it basically XD;
It's my life, my money going into college, my time being invested into it, my life being affected by it~
I'm a very stubborn and determined person :P
I'd rather just do what I want and be happy :3

Haha - we honestly never went into them much~
I wish we had!
I watch movies on them all the time :3
I've read a ton of novels about them too~
They've always interested me :3
I wish we could have spent more time of them :(

yeah, i'm one of those weirdos that loves history. I actually love learning about it partly because it was a cool story, and party so i can learn from their mistakes so i can prevent it from happening again. It's not going to work, cuz not everyone has that same attitude, but one less person has to count for something... right? yeah, probably not -corner of gloom-

Seriously, the choices for a History major are either teacher or lawyer. Perhaps a museum curator if one is so lucky.

But I want the plush lifestyle, so lawyer it is. I love reading history books though (the figures, not the wars) and we seriously should've learned more about that in school.

It's just human nature to get into everyone's business, be the best at everything, compete, and conquer the lesser people.
It sucks, but that's how most people are these days and it gets worse with every generation :/
People say they want change -- but they don't do anything about it and end up being all for the wars that the governments DO create :/
It's just never going to change until people get a serious reality check -- and I'm afraid that's going to come too late ^_^;;

---

Haha have fun :) <3

Yeah, lawyering is pretty damn competitive. I'm not a very good public speaker so I should've joined the debate team back in high school. But I'm pretty loud when I want to be.

Haha -- Law isn't my cup of tea either~
I'd rather not have the stress of it ;)
I can be argumentative and throw around facts to make my point -- but it's jut not worth killing myself over ^_^;;
[/has to live a stress-free-ish life due to medical]
You have no idea how tough that is when 1. you're passionate and 2. you're always around stress/under stress XD:

My mom has been pretty good about letting me pick my major, but she occasionally drops the hint that she wants me to do something health care related. >_>

you could be a tour...person... thingy. museum curators have to have all sorts of anthropology background and stuff, so not cool. but to be a tour group leader and be like "so, this is where they signed the declaration of independence" that's and option (which is what i'd want to do). But yeah, I know i'm pretty much screwed with the career world anyway since everything I like and am good at, they have crappy jobs. So I figured I'd go to school and study something I enjoy.

I was wanting to be a museum curator. But the money isn't great - about $70k at the higher end.

Haha - My mom wants me to be happy -- so she wasn't too disappointed~
There's just a thing in my area where they'll give a bonus if I work as a doctor of some sort here after college -- or work in a rural area in the state, I think :3
Can't remember which now xD;
She just thought it'd be a nice additive and thought it would be a perfect fit because i'm great with kids, love helping people, and enjoy making others feel better :3
But it'd just be stressful for me, so it went out the door XD;

Indeed. I still have no clue about my major, and I'm taking various classes until I have an idea. :) neither my mother nor my girlfriend (who fully intends to marry me around the end of next year) have any problem with this plan. They both think I need to find my own way, you know? And that's important.

And yay for the almost-fiancee ;)
Congrats <3

Are you going to a liberal arts college designed for that sort of thing?
Or are you going to a regular college and just doing liberal arts until you find your way?
