PBS has had "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Are You Being Served?" on for years now. My local PBS station, at any rate. I'm pretty sure their programming varies depending on where you live.

It does indeed vary, as the PBS channels only serve local areas.
My PBS hasn't had keeping up appearances for years.

I find that a bit ironic, considering the title.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Can't wait for the Christmas special tonight. :eager: I hope I can find it online before tomorrow. But I think I'll be able to, given its fanatic following.

There was a streaming party through ONTD but thanks family, I got to miss it.

Aww. :( I forgot it airs earlier in the UK, though. Hell, it's probably online now.

We just watched the Christmas special. I recorded it from TV because we were out visiting family. ^^

I recorded the confidential too, but my parents aren't that interested in it so I'll wait until I have control of the TV.

Well, I will have to look when I get to a better internet connection, right now I don't got a good one.
Well, I think they were airing both the UK, and US ones at the same time this year. It debuted at 10am on Pacific cost.

It was on at 6pm here. I was worried the recording might have not caught the whole thing since the BBC (BBC One anyway) seemed to be running a couple of minutes behind today but it did. If it had cut off the 'coming soon' I'd have ran to the internet to try and find it. ^^;

I had fun at home, we had a lot more casual day than usual for Christmas and it was nice. But it was so hot in my aunt and uncle's house I just wanted to sleep and ignore the people trying to talk to me. >.<

How was your day, ljos?

Hehe nice. I really liked how laid back we were this year, my mum is usually a great planner and doesn't get too worked up about these things even if she has to do almost everything.. plus my dad had a bit of time off work to help out and stuff, and she has an extra son as we have an exchange student with us, so even yesterday, which is the main day for our celebration (christmas starts at six o'clock sharp in Iceland..), my mum was taking it easy reading a book till a couple of hours before dinner. I also managed to get everything done re: presents and cards and things really early for a change (I only gave little presents to my family as I couldn't afford buying for friends - well, plus a few things for my partner.. - and for my friends I just did a mix tape (cd), as it's a tradition in my group of friends).

Anyway, today had great brunch, made snowmen as it snowed a bit more this morning (I made a pacman and a ghost! :D) and in the afternoon we went to our grandparents' house for LOTS OF FOOD and board games. I love my family, especially my mum's side. Got to hear a few fun stories of my mum and her brother when they were in school.. being expelled and getting drunk at 12 years old... fun stuff!

Er, sorry about the essay, sometimes I need to learn when to shut up..

Yeah, it's been pretty good. As I just said in another thread, only things that would've made it better would've been if our mum hadn't busted me and my brothers doing something.. not quite legal a couple of days ago - we're waiting for the result from that after the holidays - and if my partner was here, and not back in London. *sigh* Why did I choose to have such a long vacation at home? *headdesk*

How was yours, Cherry? :)

I've never made a snowman, where I've grown up, snow doesn't exist.

Wow, sounds like an interesting christmas so far ljos. I kind of know the feeling of spending so long with family, doing that right now myself. Time will go by quickly as long as you do not focus on it.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love my family to bits, they're amazing and I love being able to spend time with them, as well as getting to see my old friends again. I just really miss my partner and we're apart for three whole weeks. >.<
I'm sure it will go by fast though as I'm with family and friends most of the time, but especially at the end of the day when crawling into bed I wish I was back there.. *sigh*

Oh man, I'm really sorry for you! Where do you live where you get no snow? I love snow, though we tend to get a lot of rain and wind with it, so either it melts or turns into slippery ice.. and then the wind makes you slide on the ice.. :|

NorCal, past the Bay Area, which is what people think of as NorCal, but it's not. Hmm, I never really heard anything good about living with snow, I don't mind the rain, and it pretty much stays in the same temperature range all year around, so I enjoy not having to buy a complete winter and summer clothing set.

Yeah, I know the feeling with being with old friends and family, but I don't have a partner to return to that I am massively missing. Been living in the bay area, and not there for a month, cheaper this way.

I would find it so strange to live with the same temperature all year round.. so used to having clear seasonal changes. And we have very unpredictable weather here as well, which can be annoying, but I'm pretty used to it.

Zea haha, I just ate too much food today.. right now I'm feeling a bit sleepy but really bored and restless, so I really want something to nibble on, but I don't think I could handle more chocolate. D:

Waiting on foodage, ask me in a few hours.

I feel the same about the clear seasonal changes. This is how I've grown up and what i have known. The west coast keeps pretty temperate, which is nice, the east coast is what gets dumped with weather. I mean, if I moved more towards the mountains, I would get that whole seasonal change, but not as much with the trees, evergreens are awesome for that.
