Why yes I am! I'm just super full from all the food that my grandma made for the family. She always makes such awesome foodstuffs. I got to see family whom I don't see all too often and catch up on stuff with them. Right now I'm just trying to finish off a present that I have yet to give away. Kind of a last-minute gift so to speak. :lol:

How has your Christmas been treating you so far?

My Christmas has been pretty good. I can't complain.

My grammy always makes home-made tamales, beans, and Spanish rice. She also baked sugar/almond cookies. :D This is the Mexican side of the family, on my dad's side, so grandma ALWAYS has a scrumptious Mexican cuisine involving tamales ready for us. I'm so full because I had two helpings of each. xP I couldn't help myself, it was so good.

Tamales are so tasty. :drool:

... I should know. I had a bunch of them yesterday. :lol:

I never knew this until now, but I suppose that the Tamale is a seasonal food. At first I thought that they were something to eat at any time. I guess they technically are, but I didn't know that they had a connection with this time of year. :lol:

Well yeah, you can eat them anytime. ;D

They're labor intensive though, so we make 'em maybe twice a years and always at Christmas. It's tradition.

So yeah, if you ever wondered what ethnicity Howdy is, that should pretty much tell you that i'm hispanic. :P

My mom is totally white, but she loves making Mexican food anyways! :rofl:

You're right about the labor-intensive part. I've never sat and watched someone make tamales, so I wouldn't know first-hand. I do remember my grandma saying that she had actually started on them in October, but damn her tamales are awesome. *u*
