One night, one girl, thread, scissors, and a mission!

Ok, so I wanted to make Yan, but since I am staying with my brother, 3000 miles away from home and all my crafting supplies, I had to use what I brought with me. Felt? Check. Colored Floss? Check. Stuffing? Check. My mission, to hand sew Yan in one sitting (WHAT was I thinking) while skyping, texting, and checking up on Mene happenings at the same time.

Crafting time:

2+ hours


Materials:

Felt, floss, scissors, needle, my hands, stuffing, aaaaand an occasional Christmas cookie

I free handed cutting out Yan according to his shape, while looking at his picture on Mene.

I started stitching his outline, using thick floss after lightly penciling features

Sewing sewing sewing

And I added a felt mouth! Yan can talk! And he won't stop gurgling and making fart noises!! :cry:

Stuffing Yan after sewing a back to 3-d-ify him!!! Almost done!

DONE and chilling in the tree as a big Yan ornament! Also added some gold cording to hang him!

Done done done! Nestled with my other handmade ornaments! <3 <3

Final sewing time: 2+ hours
