That's pretty much the only time my family comes over. Well, my whole family, that is. (My brothers and my niece and nephew come over almost once a week or every other week.) Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I spend about $200 each holiday to prepare a feast for everyone. Considering how tight money is this year with me no longer working, and my husband and I both going to college, I don't know if I will be funding the holiday meals. No one ever helps out, which makes it tough. And my sister has kind of turned witchy this year and standoffish. I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones or not, but it's kind of gotten old.

Gizzy - Our heat index today was 102. And my husband and I were going to walk to the store, because my sister never came to get me to go grocery shopping like she said she would. Thankfully, we have an awesome neighbor who took us.

put out an email around thanksgiving
let everyone know you'd love to make them
and ask for 'orders' with prices, tell them money is tight
i bet you get help with the cost of making them quickly!
i know i would help with the cost if i loved them and you

What is your contest, gizmo?

hummy - I enjoy having the dinners. Last year, I sold my plasma to make extra money for Christmas presents, since I didn't have enough to do the meal and buy everyone gifts. No one else bought any gifts. My sister had sold her plasma, too. I don't know what she did with her money.
