I'm also pro-choice, but I can respect wanting to keep a child. As long as you're willing to step up and be a parent, then I'm behind you all the way. Its only the people who care about the child being birthed, but not about the child's actual life, that anger me. :I Because at that point- What's the fucking point? You dragged this poor kid out into the world to neglect him? Fuckin' people.

Much agreed. And I plan to raise my child and busy my tail to do it the right way. I totally understand what you mean though. I actually have a cousin who doesn't want kids, and is married but won't go on birth control because that's abortion in her eyes and that's against God. Then again she thinks I'm going to hell for being gay and giving birth to a child to raise. Apparently gay people have gay babies in her mind.

:I Well. As long as she steps up if she gets pregnant, I can still begrudgingly respect her. Otherwise, what a cunt. People who don't want to become parents and aren't willing to act as parents shouldn't be parents. It ruins the children's lives, it ruins relatives lives because someone has to step up and be responsible and its usually shoved off onto family members. It ruins their lives, it ruins the lives of everyone who's forced to get involved... Its just a shitty thing all around.

It is. We love our apartment complex. My sister lives one street over but says my apartment is "ghetto." Her and her boyfriend always say anywhere I live is ghetto. But we have very nice neighbors and an incredibly nice landlord. My sister doesn't speak to her neighbors at all. And I think my apartment is nicer. Just about everything in it is brand new from being replaced before we moved in. But my apartment is more diverse than hers and not as much military. Maybe that's why they don't like it?

My apartment isn't horribly ghetto, it's in an older neighborhood of the town we live in. We do get the police helicopter that flies over with the bright light from time to time. Now that I think about it, it's been awhile since we've seen it. There are always the police chases down the street by our apartment complex.
Good morning everyone.

My apartment is right next to businesses, across from Dunkin Donuts and Hobby Lobby and down the road from a lot of restaurants, Walmart, and the local mall. My sister only lives on street away, so it isn't like she's in an entirely different area of the city. We did have a murder down the street at the gym the other day. It was a dispute between cousins and one killed the other. It was crazy. Only time I've ever seen a dead body.
Dys - Yes, my sister can be pretty rude these days. She always thinks her and her boyfriend are better than me and my husband. But at least my husband and I have our own place and pay our own bills, even though we are both in college. She and her boyfriend live with his aunt, niece, and uncle, and his mom pays most of their bills, even though they both have jobs now. Her boyfriend had tried to start his own mobile mechanic service, but it really didn't work out. So, he was basically doing nothing for six months until she got him a job where she works. It is what it is, though.

There have been a few times when I came home or we both came home and there were cops in the complex. One time they had dogs and were looking for someone they had chased into the complex. Not sure if they ever found who they were looking for that night.
For some reason we have had some douche bag downstairs neighbors. In the 4 years we have been here only one set of neighbors has been decent and like able. The current neighbors are volatile with each other. Slamming doors, raised voices and Rodd told me the other night that the cops were there the other day. Yikes.

Our upstairs neighbors make a lot of noise and fight somewhat a lot. But they're OK people. The cops are here some. I wouldn't say a lot. Mostly ambulance and fire trucks come. One woman in my building has cancer and has to call the ambulance a lot. And of course, the fire trucks come anytime the ambulance comes.

It's not a horrible place to live and I am very aware of my surroundings, what other people are doing. In fact, one of my coworkers said it was creepy how well I knew what was going on around me without be obvious about looking. Guess that makes me a creeper.
I am loving my new job! The ladies I work with are fantastic, they have their own quirks, but who doesn't. Just trying to do my best and learn all that I can, quickly. Really want them to keep me around after the three month contract is up.

This new job will be one step in the right direction for my husband and I to afford a bigger place since he isn't working right now. On my own we can almost afford a condo. Which isn't all that bad in mind...just don't want to have to hassle with HOAs and let's face it, most of those damn places have HOAs on the property. Ugh.
As a side note, I will not be on a whole lot for most of the evening today. Got a baseball game to go to with the husband and a friend from my old job. Looking forward to it. We're riding the light rail down and walking to the stadium. This way I can have a couple of beers and not have to worry about driving home. Besides, that's what a sober husband is for!

As a woman, you always need to be aware of your surroundings. My husband does random attacker scenarios to make sure I'm paying attention. The other night, he jumped over the walls of our patio, which are about 4 1/2 feet high, and came through the sliding glass door that I had kept open to show me how quietly it can be done...

Thanks! I needed an easy cosplay and who doesn't love Lara Croft. I've thought about changing her, but I am not sure what to dress up as. Hmm.
My husband and I play fight, he teaches me things. How to defend myself, pin people, block hits, he's very much into MMA so that helps out a lot.
Scary how quickly and quietly people get around and into your house. We live on the third floor apartment so it's pretty easy to see people coming and there aren't lots of areas for egress and ingress.

HOAs are organized crime at it's legal best. And I do love how people like to try and justify to me they have their place. No they fucking don't. They are there to take your money and fuck with you every chance they get. We don't like this, we don't like that, you can't do that, we're going to fine you. It's all they do. Ugh.
Nothing wrong with running practice drills like that, Dys. It's how military prepares their people, why shouldn't we do the same thing. To be the best you have to practice, practice, practice.
