It takes time, especially if you're from a busy, noisy home. But you'll adjust to the quietness. You just have to give yourself time. Just do what makes you happy, though.

... Just make sure that you're not out of the frying pan and into the fire. I don't know your husband and I don't wanna make any assumptions, but as a general rule, I don't trust SOs that think its their place to control your relationships, even if they're doing it with your best intentions in mind.
