It's not even remakes. Their original movies are all based on mythology or books or British tv shows.
Wasn't Ugly Betty some soap opera in South American before it was remade into an American show?

Well, from the beginning a lot of things were based off of old stories. The folklore evolved and became newer things. Heck, Lord of the Rings is like a complete mash up of world lore.

I'm serious. xD There are some new movies that came out that could have been INCREDIBLE. But they were awful and there was so much more that could have been done with them. But noooo. They produced a crappy movie.

Well, I don't mind if someone comes up with a mash-up of old things to create something new (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter). But it's lame when someone just takes an old legend and makes another movie about it--like Robin Hood.

I agree. There have been some movies made recently that could have been better and some that never should have been made.

haha aww...I kind of want to see Robin Hood. But, ya. I get it. lol They should have never touched Beowulf. That was so pathetically hilarious...

And Estrella: I get what you mean. We saw...that...Titans movie for $4 (thank goodness) last month. It was just....ugh. I kind of wondered if they'd even bothered attending any of their English classes...

I saw the Titans movie, lol! My friend dragged me to it and I really didn't want to see it because the reviews were so bad.
And yes, it was actually really bad, as expected.

yaa...When we went, we meant to see Alice in Wonderland, but we'd missed the show. So we were like "Welll....we're already here..." Which we wouldn't have done if it wasn't the old ghetto theater that charges super low prices. XD I was like "well....this could have been...well...mildly better...." But...they went for the same approach everyone does: Spend all the money on nice graphics and pretty lights, and completely forget there's supposed to actually be at least SOME substance to the story.

I mean remakes like Robin hood n' such.
I like Disneys versions and I thought the one with Morgan Freeman was really good. I might like the new Robin Hood w/ the actor that was in Gladiator but...it gets boring after watching the same thing so many times.

I don't know about Ugly Betty. I never watched that retarded show. o _ o;

I don't mind creating movies off of books n' such--just not the same thing remade over and over again.
It doesn't matter if there's different producers to it, it gets irritating.*

I don't know about any of you guys, but I was kind of disappointed by Alice in Wonderland. It wasn't what I was expecting.

haha ya....>D Everyone else seems to think sooo ^_^

And yup! Watching the same story 3-5million times is annoying. =/

And I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland yet. T_T I wanted to see it with all my friends, but they went without me....again. *sigh*

I like Alice In Wonderland, but it wasn't great. I probably would have hated it, but I didn't watch it until it came out on bluray. By then, everyone told me that it sucked so I had no expectations for it. Lol, that's probably why it wasn't so bad for me. xD;

@HappyStarr: Omg, your friends suck. You know why I know that?--my friends saw Alice In Wonderland without me too. ;___;

I didn't watch Alice in Wonderland, though it was on.

I haven't seen many movies that have come out recently.

I'm hoping to go see Despicable Me this week. :drool:

Okay, Siri! G'night!

And...ya. My friends are lame. T_T I mean, I know I don't always go 'cause I'm short on cash...but I didn't even get the offer that time around.

And I've heard Despicable Me was really bad. I mean...I want to see it for myself...but that's what's I've heard. =/

I think if the movie had more of the Tim Burton feel to it it would have probably been better.

I want to see Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

oo I do wanna see that. I'm curious as to how they're going make that interpretation work (or not work).

@ Siri; pffft XD Yeah, but if you sit at the computer long enough--they do.

I always have a lot of light on to try and negate the harsh lighting of the laptop ^_^;;

My eyes are just strange. I'm 18, but my eyes work like an 80 year olds - literally~
Yet I have 20/20 vision with and without glasses~
Makes perfect sense right? XD;

This is what happens~
When you focus, your eyes go in. My eyes go out when I focus - making my pupils twitch when I concentrate.
This, on top of the harsh light of the laptop, makes watching things on it very difficult~
It's hard enough posting xD;

Like, I don't see double, generally (only when I read for awhile), but I start to blink a lot and I lost focus xD;
It's strange and a rare disease, but it's something I've lived with for awhile~
Sucks - but eh, what can you do?

Have you mentioned that to your optometrist? They might want to keep an eye on that in case you develop a need for reading glasses? 0.o...I can't say for sure, though, 'cause I'm not a med student or anything.

My eye sight sucks. I'm almost 24 and I'm legally blind. Though the optometrists that I've seen have never told my parents or me why my eye sight is so bad and it continues to get worse every year no matter what.

Aww...I don't know that I'm legally blind...but it is pretty bad. Went for a regular eye exam this past week and when asked to read the lowest line on the chart before they added anything, I couldn't see any. T_T Felt so bad. I'm gonna wait to see about eye surgery, though, 'cause I don't wanna get it now and end up right back where I am in another 20 years.

XD
My eye doctor is the one who diagnosed me~
I can't see my eyes twitch hun, I can't exactly look at them :P

And we've tried everything - my case is even more abnormal than the known cases~
But eh - nothing we can do about it~
I have glasses that slightly magnify print so my eyes have to work a little less, but it doesn't help all that much :/

Also - in regards to your eye exam?
The lowest line isn't generally 20/20 - it's generally much better than 20/20 :yes:
-can read them-
So it's really no big if you can't read them - they're not expecting you to, just trying to see if you can :)

-

Rose:: I'd honestly go to another eye-doctor~
My first eye doctor said I was a kid complaining and there was nothing wrong with me. I went to a new one and found all this information out and the guy actually tried to help me :3
