To revive this topic before it sinks off the first page-
I assume, based on the poll (which has been expired a long time now) - that we'll be having a Masquerade for the Anniversary? :D How will we do this? A thread where people can join in and chatter? Or something more specific? Perhaps, "The first person wearing formal evening wear and a mask on every X pages wins Y prize."? That would encourage people to dress up for the Masquerade (which I have always thought of as masks + formal evening wear). :D If we go with that idea - Who wants to host the Masquerade? How many pages for the prize? (10 pages? 15?) What prize? (Gold? An item?) |

My only problem with that idea is the fact that masks are either expensive, or make you bald...
You could do like a dress up contest, and have people post pictures of masks on whatever page. Whoever is the first one on every 20 pages gets a prize? Everyone remember if you need money for prizes, talk to Juru. >_< |
Mmm... true, re: masks being expensive.
Would it be a good compromise to say that the first person dressed in evening wear who posts a picture of a mask on that page gets the prize? I would really like to encourage formal wear, at least in the Masquerade Ball thread. :V |

I love your graphics work, Dare. :3 I, for one, would love to have your assistance. I think we have someone who's offered to do banners as well, so between the two of you, we could divide duties or have you guys talk about how you'd like to make the banners work together...?
@Rasengan: If no one's already declared themselves the host of the Avatar Contest (I've no idea - you can check just as well as I can), I see no reason for you not to step up and do it. Why don't you get to work on the rules/guidelines you'd be looking for for the Avatar Contest, if you hosted it? |

Well, I love the idea of a Masquerade theme, myself. :D If not a Masquerade theme, then since it's "Yumeh's Birthday" you could require something more like, "Honor Yumeh! Use an item with a Yumeh theme to it! (ex: Hairpin, shirt, ears+tail, etc.)"
What sort of theme would you be most interested in hosting for? :) |

Yes, Rasen, you can do the avatar contest. I have the day off tomorrow so i'm going to sit down and seriously go through everything, update it, and designate prizes so that we can see how many more prizes we need :3 |

If you give people an option of one or the other, you'll likely get more entries. :) So it'll depend on if you want more entries or want to lower them. XD

Ok, IT will be Both. Yumeh, Masquarade and some may even dare to do both. :D Im going to get started on the rules. Im going to use the summer carnival's event as a reference. :wink:

Fear not, banners are on their way. All the contest runners should be recieving PMs with samples soon, just sent daashi (for the pixel art contest) and yours is next for the drawing contest ^__^ I was going to work last week on them but there were finals and *bounces* I got engaged! Been a little side tracked ^^; General question though, when I'm done with the banners, should I post them here or just PM the individuals running the contest to keep things hush-hush? |
