Really? I didn't know that. I'm sure they'll help out though. From what I've heard, they are doing things for the anniversary. Well..I just talked to someone and it sounds like they are going to do something more than create event + special items.

Information for Drawn Art contest:

Art shall be submitted on January 1st, 2008. The thread will be locked on January 20, 2008. Art will be judged on the second to last day of the event, and winner will be announced on the last day.

The subject that will be drawn for the contest is...Yumeh as a human!!!

Yumeh can be male or female, and can have cat ears and a tail. Please note that Yumeh has blue eyes, black ears and tail.

The drawing can be realistic, chibi, anime style, etc. Just as long as it's Yumeh as a human, it can be entered.

Prizes:

1st place: 1000 gold, art to go into sig, one item

2nd place: 500 gold, and art to go into sig

3red place: 250 gold

Rules:
1. Follow the T.O.S
2. No stealing/tracing other people's artwork.
3. Art needs to be under pg-13.
4. Picture must be of Yumeh as a human. Other things may be included in the picture.
5. No insulting other people's artwork.
6. Do your best.

Drawn art contest would be fun I think, people seem to want to draw for events (at least that was my impression during the Halloween Event) so I don't think there would be a shortage of entries.

@Fuyumi: I think that a Drawn Art Contest would be amazing! :3 Write up Rules and such, and i will put it underneath the pixel art contest.

I still need rules and stuff for at least the Raffle, and if we can pull off the scavanger hunt (Aero, please talk to one of the dev's, or jelly, about doing that).

Sample awards sent to daashi. I also sent out PMs to the various cast listed on the front post asking if they would want banners for contests they might be running.

I would offer to help run a contest but I'm not sure if I can be online enough. I haven't even signed up for courses next semester so I don't know my time table.

Hey guys, I want to ask your opinion on something about the whole procedure of the trivia competition :3

I'm thinking of like, a few normal rounds, and then the "winners" of each of those rounds will be able to compete in a final round for some "grand prize" type deal, like what was done at the Summer Carnival.

Also, for winning a round, each winner would get to pick a prize (and from that point until the finals, would be forbidden from participating in others, out of all fairness).

What do you guys think of that?

@fuyumi_saito: Are we allowed to draw Yumeh as a catboy/catgirl - or is it a pure human? :D I'm not really clear on that. XD;

@Suteki: I think pooling the winners of each round into a "Final Match" sort of thing would be excellent. :3 The fact that someone gets a shot at two prizes would attract a lot of participants who might not normally bother. :D And forbidding people to win multiple prizes (not counting the Grand Prize) would spread out the prizes and make more people (again) participate who might not normally - since they know they have a shot the next time. X3

I've heard from one of you thus far and have set aside what has been requested, but those of you running contests and such, please remember you do not have to fund these all yourselves. There are activities going on to raise monies for you. I hope to hear from you all soon!

I was planning to raffle Menewsha's first 2007 CI set (including crowns) I was thinking that someone would probably agree to sell some of the expensive CIs (discounted ones 83) to me and turn them into raffle prizes xD

Yeah, true. And I'll try to stick to areas in which problems can be solved using Google/Wiki, so that more people will join.

I'm also thinking of trying to go for like, two rounds per day, aka 10 rounds total. That way, people limited by timezones wouldn't be completely shut out by like "Oh no, I have school then D:". Though I'd have to see about my schedule those days too before deciding anything about the whole timing, in case I can't do like, approximately 12 hours apart for the rounds.

I'm currently still going through the rules and trying to make them more sensical, so I'll post those later.

But, I've already got a list of the prizes that I've collected so far for the Trivia Competition:
-Panda Slippers
-Winters Flight x3
-Glacial Circlet
-Yumeh Ears and Tail.

So I'm going to go and try to collect four more regular prizes, and then figure out this "grand prize" for winning the final round.

Okie dokie. I have the rules and procedures all typed up, and even got down the categories n__n

Tell me what you think, if something should be added/removed, and especially on what you think of the categories (I don't want categories that no one knows about xD). Also, I would like an idea as to what Day Three's second category should be, I couldn't think of anything else :s (I even looked at Sizzla's Trivia post from the Summer Carnival xD)

Rules
-Use respect. No taunting, mocking, etc, of other participants or of the Trivia leader.

-If you win one round, you may not compete in another until the Final Round. If you try to compete in another round after you win and that round is not the Final Round, you will be disqualified. This is as your answers won’t count, but someone could easily copy them to earn points without trying.

-I will post when the final round will be in the thread once I get knowledge of when I will be able to host it. Therefore, there will be no excuse for trying to compete in additional rounds.

-Please, only post one answer per trivia question. If you fail to do so, I will count the first answer, even if the correct answer is later in the post. If there is a two part question and you forget to answer part of it, you may finish your question in another post. Though please, quote the first post so I will know that you did the entire question.

-If the above occurs, I will count the time stamp on the second post, not the first.

-If you edit your post, your answer does not count. If you later get the correct answer, you may post again, but absolutely NO editing of the original answer post.

-Spelling does count. If you misspell a word in your answer, it is counted as incorrect.

-I reserve the right to ban people from these competitions if they can not follow the rules multiple times.

How to Play

-Each day, there will be two rounds of trivia consisting of 10 questions per round.

-No two rounds will be alike. Each will have their own subject.

-I will ask a question, and the first to answer it correctly earns a point. I will quote the person and announce that they have got the question correct.

-The person with the most points at the end will win the round. They will then have their choice of a prize. Prizes are first come, first serve.

-Round winners can not participate in another round until the Final Round. On the last day of the event, all of the individual round winners will compete in a competition for a grand prize. There will be 20 questions instead of the usual 10, and questions will come from an array of the prior rounds’ subjects, and some questions from alternative areas. Be prepared :)

-I have school, so there are times that I am in able to be on the computer. I will try to space out the rounds, but I can give no promises as to everyone having the ability to compete in one round.
-All times I post here are EST (GMT-5).

-I will post the times at least an hour before the round occurs, and I will change the title to show when the round will start.

I would like to participate, I can draw and make banners (see my deviantart gallery on my siggy) if you are interested please pm me, and depending on the day I can run contests or any other thing you may need =) I have experience from previous events xD

@Juno: Well, I'm fine with them posting, since I know that in the Summer Carnival's Trivia, I'd sit there and chat and say "oh, congrats <x> for getting the question right" and stuff. That's why I've forbade them from participating in rounds.

And it is, but if it's a two part question and they forget a bit, I said I'd like them to quote the original bit so I don't have to search everywhere x.x;; Though I might make a maximum-guess rule or something.

And well, I'm going to be saving up my posting gold for a while, but right now, I'm not entirely sure on what I'd want to offer. I've got to think about it.
