Vela 01-19-2008 04:52 PM

Lol :D

I like trivia!

Suteki 01-19-2008 04:52 PM

@Sayuri: "Pomme de terre" is the French term for a potato, and that means "apple of the earth/ground". I researched it, and found that in other languages, it's also called a ground apple.

And hah, silence :3 The last question is next.

Suteki 01-19-2008 04:55 PM

Question Ten: Which leafy vegetable's genus name is ultimately derived from the Lac, the Latin word for milk? (please only list the garden variety's name; not wild types)

Since that was the last question, here's the score:
Sayuri_nitta - 4
Amari Tsuki - 5
Vela - 1

So, Amari Tsuki, you won :3 You may pick a prize off of the front page (just not under the Grand Prize section). You're also now able to participate in the Final Round on the 22nd, but forbidden from any other round ;c

Thanks to everyone who competed :3 This was a very close round.
