@ Windy - xD And I plan to learn Japanese, too.
Haha. Quadlingual. That'd go over well with them, eh? |
@dys - Hi back. :3 Was looking back a few pages to catch up. You're aiming for harvard to become a doctor? Wow, that's a nice goal you got there. You sound a little like me in that you're concerned about college before you're in high school. xD I worried about college since elementary, but unlike you, I didn't really do too much about it besides get good grades. It sounds like you're on a good path though. Don't skip the basic math courses though since they're the foundations for later. That is of course unless you understand them already.
@windy - I'm doing okay, hehe. I wasn't able to get on menewsha in a bit because I was working on my animation homework. Maya is new to me and is therefore a little tricky. x.x How about you? |
@ Taki - Yep.
I plan to get a math tutor to fill me in on the basic concepts so that I can move ahead. I guess I'm too ambitious. I get pretty mad at myself if someone does better than I do, which motivates me to do better. |
How come Dystopia is so clever and I am not that clever? T___T
|
@xuv: Because you're not? lol Kidding..
Weren't you the one bragging about your smartness and all that asian stuff the other day? |
Was it me? What is so smart of me? I am not smart in school T___T
|
Wendy - No. There's no point. His ride has to be to work in half an hour...
|
@Dys - It's good to be ambitious, but just make sure you don't overwork yourself. Also, remember not to get too mad at yourself if someone does better than you. Keep that in check. Later on things may get more competitive, and there might come along a person whom you can't beat, and you might get really frustrated trying to become better than them. Just warning you from my own frustrations. >_>;;
@xuv - Don't worry, I'm not nearly as clever as Dys either. |
@ Xuv - If I was that clever, I would be in Geometry like my two friends by now. *never satisfied* xD
@ Simp - Asians, FTW. @ Taki - *embarrassed* Heh. I won't. I know that I'm never gonna beat a pilot at flying a plane and I know what's possible. xD *draws the line at more or less reasonable places* |
xuv: Why do I get the feeling that you'r e just fishing for compliments? x3
|
@Dys - lol, well I figured you wouldn't think things along those lines. Just wanted to make sure you don't stress yourself out, hehe. :3
I remember geometry. It involved a lot of theorems that you had to memorize and recite. x.x Super easy class for me, but it was rather tedious in that we had to write out every theorem for our homework. |
@Taki: That sounds..really annoying.
Did you guys do proofs in your school? God, I hated doing those. I mean math is with numbers, not paragraph essays. |
Gahhh, sorry, I was playing piano for a friend who wanted me to pick out something for him. @[email protected];;;
What'd I miss? I'm lost. e_e |
~Flops down on the floor and yawns.~ I need to clean out my HD and my room. >.<;
|
Hey Windy.
Welcome back. ^^ We're not talking about much..well at least I'm not. Just something about geometry and such...lol. |
@simplixity - Ugh, proofs... >.> I hated those things! I don't exactly remember all my math lessons, but I do recall how irritating proofs were.
I was never very good at math. I always had to work hard at things that were easy for others in order to get my As. >.> In college now, I finished taking all my math courses, so pretty much all those upper level math classes are out of my mind. Have you found that in your daily life you need to know how to do proofs or other upper level math work? It's basically pointless unless you're going into a field that requires it. |
@Sim: Ah, okay. It's been so long since I took geometry. . . three years ago, in fact. I know the equation for the perimeter (circumference) and area of a circle, but that's about it. XD;
|
@Windy: Hahaha, yea, tell me about it. I mean I'm taking Algebra, and my teacher expects me to know the rules for special 30-60-30 and 45-45-90 triangles, and I'm just like WTH?
@Taki: Of course not, I mean yea, I'm going to need to know whether these two triangles are congruent in real life. Puh-lease, it's all about making money in the real world. xPP |
Dude! When the heck did I get another hundred gold? o_o;;;
|
@windy - I know the feeling, lol! It's weird when someone mentions a term that I used to know from math, and I'm like "I should know this", because it's something that was super easy. Recently, my one friend was helping another friend who's younger than us, with an algebra problem. I decided to try and see if I could do it because I remembered how easy it was. Bad idea. XD I completely forgot the procedures and what to do with it! I pieced things together, but not always from the correct sources. It was terrible!
EDIT: @simp - Those triangles may save your life! :P |
@ Taki - I'm pretty bad at memorizing formulas, but I get the hang of it as soon as I work it out a few times. @[email protected] Wanna tutor me and get me ready for the placement testing? *dies*
Sorry guys. I was making a thread |
@dys - I'd love to tutor you, but I'd probably mess you up more than help you. If it was like 3-4 years ago, I could've done it (back when I remembered it all and was doing it), but now? x.x
|
xD Darn. *goes to hire a professional*
|
I'm just glad I'm done with all that stuff.
Now calculus..I'm not looking forward to. x.x |
*looks around*
