One word to describe poor voice dubs: LAME...

I don't really like dubs. ._. Especially if its been edited by America. For God's sake, the US murders any anime that comes into its hands. I've said it once, and I"ll say it a thousand times!

But on the brighter side...Lenna probably wouldn't have gotten into anime if it wasn't for the awful...disgrace...havoc-wrecking dub they did of...sailormoon.D;

There are a few I actually do like dubbed in English though, but those had actors picked that really fit the roles. A few I even prefer the English over the Japanese dubs.

(Those would be ones like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, etc. But they tend to be the older ones before they started churning them out as fast as they can. ^^;)

@Ferra: OH YEAH. Cowboy Bebop. That's one anime I think they did a nice job of. I never really cared to go see the subs cause...well...Spike's voice rocks. ^^;

@Anna: Lenna watched all the Sailormoon dubs and now she is watching the subs which she...painfully downloaded. ^^;;;; And the subs are a trillion times better than the dubs.

Yes...in my opinion, though I didn't think it at the time, the dub of Sailor Moon was pretty poorly done. But modern dubs, like FMA/Rurouni Kenshin/Cowboy Bebop and so on are actually pretty amazing in their voice dub talent. That's not to say that for the most part, subtitles usually pwn dubs, but there are enough dubs out there, for me at least, to give the dubs of any series I watch regularly a try before I disregard them ^_^.

I just finished watching Blood + the other day. And before that I watched Claymore. Both very good series.

I went to Japan this summer and I got by alright. ^^ I don't speak very good Japanese since I've only studied it for two years, but practicing in Japan really did help a lot. (I feel so rusty now since I hardly ever have to speak it here. D:)

It would be a bit scary, but I think it'd be a good life experience to teach English abroad. :3

@ToriKat: I do think the Japanese voices were excellent for Rurouni Kenshin, but I listed it since I don't think the English ones are terrible. Plus, they actually did a lot of bonus stuff for the English version like outtakes that were very enjoyable. :3

EDIT: @I.C.A.R.I.A.N.A: Oh right! I knew I forgot one. Fullmetal Alchemist also has an excellent English dub. :3
