You all know it, I don't need to say it, but I'm going to anyway...staff will NEVER ask you for your password! You'd think the losers who send out these phishing PMs would know that by now, wouldn't you? :roll:

Anyway, a few things to bear in mind:

Staff names are always coloured, like so; Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Moderator, Event Coordinator, Developer, NPC or Staff Envoy. There are absolutely no exceptions.

Don't be taken in by names with prefixes such as [MOD] or [Staff] or anything like that, these people are trying to scam you!

This is more for the new guys who are coming in via Tektek of course, as phishing attempted are pretty prevalent over there and people are maybe more likely to be afraid that they're real. But we are proud of our record on here, this kind of thing just doesn't happen on Mene, unless we're advertising on Tektek and drawing the attention of cheaters xD

We've only had one idiot try it so far, we might be lucky and not get any more, but forewarned is forearmed, right? So, if you get a PM telling you some BS about needing your password and email address, then please forward it to either a moderator or an assistant admin who is online at the time and we'll kick them to the curb for you :)

Even anything that says Account Manager, Surveyor, or even User helper in the title are all lies. If they do not have bolded/colored names. They need to be reported.

That actually happened to my friend on Gaia a couple days ago (and she was stupid enough to send her password).

But thankfully only one person.

And with their super hammers, the Menewsha Staff save the day once again. xD

Well, this happened last night and it was taken care of pretty much instantly.
The faster you report if you see an incident, the quicker the response.
