I've noticed that the Contribution Shop is completely bare aside from the CIs, and I was wondering if there were any plans in the works to put any other type of items into the shop? I have a few suggestions as to a few items that might be interesting.

-Chance Bags/Boxes
These could have a random item from the regular shops in them, and it could be any item at all! You might get some thing really cheap, like the Ragged Shirt, or something really expensive, such as the Midnight Dreams Gown!

-Mennies Tokens
Exactly what it sounds like; Tokens that could be exchanged between users. Some people simply cannot afford to contribute to Menewsha because of various circumstances. These would allow those who can afford it to share this joy with other, less financially fortunate users. These could be traded in for CIs or anything else that might be in the Contribution Shop in the future.

-NPC Avi Companion Plushies
I love my Yumeh Scarf, and I think it would be cool to give my Avi a Yumeh, Afrodonkey, or Mr. Mayor plushie to have, hold, or put on her head.


Does anyone else have a possible suggestion? Are my suggestions even plausible? Let us discuss!

Some people react really negatively to the idea of a cash shop (I know you didn't say the words cash shop, but that is the conclusion people will jump to). I've never had an issue with it myself. I figure this would be a good place for things that people are always going to want--like back wings, halos, demon horns, etc--that I don't think would work as well as contribution items because they'd be so rare when the site became more popular.

Chance boxes/bags: Personally, I would never buy these because of the level of uncertainty. I could just spend my money on CIs to sell and get what I want with the gold instead of taking the risk. A lot of people like the gamble, though. Put in a few things that are really rare, like a 1 in 1,000 chance of getting a V-day boa, and some people would really jump on that.

Tokens: We can already buy tokens. The only difference is making them tradeable. What I think would be better, is actually making them giftable (which I think is kind of what you're thinking). So then, say my good Mene friend is having a birthday, I can buy her 500 menes as a birthday gift.

Plushies: Cute. That is all.

I'm not sure how I feel about a chance box for commons. That seems an awful lot like gambling for fake money with real money. I'd rather buy a chance box with gold and gamble using that instead.

I do like the plushies idea though! I'd love to have a little companion Mr. Mayor ^_^

Cami: I agree on the point about giftable mennies. There's a lot of users who can't donate to the site, so if it ever costs mennies to get something that's not an item, say, DAC access, I'd want to be able to gift that to other people.

the thing is, by the time the mennies become giftable the DAC will probably not be beta and donator only

in my opinion i dont think mene needs a cash shop but i really love the idea of plushies! i would love an afrodonkey plushie or a yummeh plushie :D
add a cain one and mene would be getting a lot of money ;D

I am not against a cash shop at all. I actually think that it would help bring in the money that the site needs. I love the plushie idea. That would be so cute. I also like the idea of Mennies being giftable. The chance box I'm not too thrilled about just because if I bought it for $2.50 and ended up with a ragged shirt I would be pretty annoyed.

With the concept of the Chance Box, I was imagining it to cost maybe $.50 or $1.00, not the same price as a CI. That would be simply outrageous! I love Cami's idea about the maybe 1/1000 chance of getting a retired CI, though!

I'm glad you all like my Companion Plushie idea! I actually got the idea from looking at this month's CIs.

There could also be Set Boxes that might include things like all of the "... of Longevity" items, or all of the "Royal ... of Artemis" items, or something like that. They wouldn't have to cost much- maybe $1 or so -and there could be a limit on how many Set Boxes any single user could buy in a month in order to keep inflation down.

The problem with retired CIs is that they supply of them is low. I believe right now the Giving Back Auction is even running out of them, if they're not all gone already. It would have been a good idea when there were still some available though. People would for sure pay for a chance at a True love boa or even a full valentine's '07 set. I am against creating more though because that would effect the value of them as much as I would love to have a set.

Id like to have something like a button or so to connect your mule with your main account so if you try to
trick and post with your mule after your main account, the post of the main account could be edited by the mule :D
