Hey Guys,
I was just wondering if you have ever given any thought to having or being able to put music on your profile page. I'm not quite sure how it works I'm not a programer or anything but I have profiles on some other online sites and when you set up a personel profile you have opptions like colors, backgrounds, fonts, ect. and some you can add music to. And from what I can tell most people use a site called ( personal Playlist.com ) to get there music from.
So anyway I don't know if it might be something you guys up in addmin. might want to look in to or if it would be to hard to set up here but people really seem to like it on other sites. Just a thought. THANKS.:)

I don't mind it, as long as there's a play button. Autoplay annoys the shit out of me.

I wouldn't mind, it'd be pretty cool.

That would be... rather annoying. I'm normally listening to music while surfing here. To have it interrupted by something else at the same time would only bust my ears. And on top of that, there's the amount of space on their side for the music player and holding files (depending on how they do it). And along with loading the page, like it or not we would have to load the music along with it.
And don't get me started with copyright issues... I'm the only person I know who tries to use free to use music (or legal ways of putting up widgets, such as Jamendo players) all the time when putting it up in major sites like this.

I like how Mene's profiles are set up in a way that they can't be complex. They all stick to the same layout and the only real changes you can do are images, colors, font, etc...
I don't know how you would be able to incorporate music without being able to completely modify the page.
Unless they restrict it to say, Youtube, and make a spot on the Profile Customization for just a Youtube link that wouldn't have the option of autoplay and would just show the play button somewhere on the profile page.
But that's awfully specific. :XD
Basically, it would be neat. -Supports!-

Hmm... youtube... it could possibly work.
But still, if you use a weak connection loading the video itself, not turning it on, just loading it's presence on the page without clicking on it... not to mention if there's more than one, can take a while. I've always enjoyed Mene's profiles in that they somewhat are easy to quickly load, being sometimes in an area with a bad connection (and not on my old browser, so forget plugins that stop flash anything from loading).

If they enable music on profiles, I'm using "Friday."
You've all been warned.

If they did put music on profiles, they could also implement an "opt out of profile music" or something setting that you could click on to keep the music from playing if you didn't want to hear it. That way people who like profile music would get it and people who didn't could just choose not to listen to it.
Taking that a step further, they could use a similar feature to just turn off auto play on all profiles as a setting. Which then of course would require someone to press a play button somewhere if they wanted to hear the music.
All in all, I'd kinda like to see this implemented. I've always liked having some sort of quiet/soft music playing on my profile.
