That's true on the dictonairy definition. And yeah, they believe he atoned for everyone's sin in the garden the night before dying on the cross. And they give a vague story about god, the son, and the holy ghost being separate but somehow the same as well. They think you get the gift of the holy ghost when you turn 8 and get baptized. I dunno. Like I said, they take the scriptures they use and then twist it to benefit them however they see fit. I don't particularly care for organized religion. Religious beliefs and spirituality are one thing, using it for money and power is another. To me anywho. I have an interesting take on religion in general. Probably influenced by the fact that I got forced into mormonism and had it pounded into my brain and then I said "aw phooey" and left which in turn got me disowned by my family and shunned by the general population. *shrugs* Whatever floats yer boat and gets you thru life eh? :D

Dictionary definition is the broad and wide non-discriminatory definition of what a Christian is then. The Bible on the other hand give an exact point to what a follower of Christ is. And Mormons believe the Cross is something which he simply died on. That he actually atoned for sin in the Garden. They also believe Jesus was a Created from preexistent matter that he and the "Father" Are totally separate beings. Thus nullifying Christ's power and chocking him up to just being a say spiritual big brother. When the Bible says "In the Beginning was the Word, The Word was with God and the Word was God." When John was referring to Jesus in John 1:1-3 I believe.
