Yeah. I usually get orders to draw people's favorite avatar, so it's a good starting place. I do oc's a lot now too.

Yeah, I'd start small. Like to start with, I only offered Chibi style. Now I offer a little formal stuff. You could start by just offering to do Avi portraits- busts. It could give you some practice and earn you a little gold. Look around and take note of what other people charge. I'm really cheap, but I find that I get tipped a lot.
