Exactly - if the plot fails, the movie fails and it dishonors and ruins the first movie :(
I really don't think people think about what they're doing when they make sequels - I mean, do they even watch the first movie?? Some sequels just have nothing to even do with the first movie, or it's the first movie all over again but with a slightly different plot line/character basis - it's sad :(

Anastasia is definitely in my top 5 - I mean, even now I can't get enough of it lol
When it's on TV I'm like "OMG! ANASTASIA! -watches- <3"
There's really so much to love about it no matter what age you are, ya know?
I love when movies can still be loved even as an adult - it's so much fun rewatching them and understanding so much more from it!
I really think Anastasia is one of those movies that will never be out-grown :3
The only question is, will it survive this new generation that has the craziest TV shows on earth XD;

My cousin brought her daughter up for a visit a couple months ago (and her daughter just turned 3) and let me tell you, that girl is in love with the craziest stuff LOL! I mean, maybe it's because I'm 20, but those shows drove me crazy within the first 2 minutes of them being on XD;
I just honestly don't get their purpose :3

I mean, for a 90s animated film, it was pretty fantastic and over par! <3
And I'm so glad they've never made a remake of it or a Part 2 - they ruined the Balto series when they did that :gonk:
Same with the Toy Story series, but they redeemed themselves with Toy Story 3, I think :3
Remakes and sequels 10-20 years later happens so frequently though :(
