Hello and welcome to Menewsha. C:
Thank you for your poem. Since I am only 16, I think that day is faaar away still and didnt scare me. x3 But I hope you dont mind that I share one of my poems with you as well. c:
The mind is broken
and the cage is hare
in loneliness.
Without sense or knowledge
he sits, he whispers and he prays
to holy speechless, maybe empty heavens.
He misses his cage.
The beast without a name
so alien to himself,
so simply worthless,
so worshipping his pains,
his mound, his frames,
so mad and so in love
with madness.
I see your poem and raise you this corny one: (lol)
Now I count the ways to live:
Everything to live for,
but mostly for myself.
Live by the sun,
By the moon in the sky,
The dreams that I've had
The plans that I've made
The friends who all love me,
The family who raised me
The loves I've lost,
and the ones I've gained.
The people who know me
and the people who will.
This is how I choose to live
By my will and no one elses.
Death may be what's on your mind
But maybe now you should take some time
To grow a heart and maybe a soul
Think of your loved ones, think at all
There may be many ways to die
Some horrific, sometimes shy
But now is not the time to think
Of teetering on that brink
Go instead to the rainbow light
There, let hope take flight
And find your reason to stay alive
Take a chance, let life survive
Death may be whats on your mind
But please don't leave us all behind.
