It's about 1,600 miles. We did a bit over 500 miles a day. When we stopped, we just stopped for the night. The only detour we took was through the Blue Ridge Mountains, we went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and looked at all the leaves turning orange and the mountains. It was very pretty. :D
Making a three day road trip isn't exactly the norm. But when we were younger, we always made the trip every summer because we lived in Louisiana and my grandparents and the rest of the family lived up here in Rhode Island. Of course, I was just a kid, so I wasn't driving back then. It wasn't as bad.
I'm glad it wasn't snowing too bad either. People tend to drive worse in the snow!
New York was fun. My friend lives there and she takes me to lots of yummy places to eat. Om nom nom.
We'll likely be buried in snow just like we were last year. I have to get used to looking our the bathroom window and seeing only white again. *sighs* I did have a nice visit with my family and friends, but the trip itself, three days driving there and back with my 80+ year old grandparents was not fun. Not fun at all! Still, I'm glad I went. I'd say we're worth a visit. But you should probably go somewhere nice and warm like Florida or maybe California, but in the summer. :)
I'm in the same boat! I was recently on vacation in Louisiana, where it was nice and warm. But when we drove back up, it's all cold and wet and we even had some snow today! Just some flakes that didn't stick, but still, snow! My feet are also icicles, but I found some slippers I liked, so now that I've slipped them on, my feet are actually kinda too hot!
Pings are welcome! If you have asked me a question or replied please feel free to ping me, otherwise I might not see it!
