the winter festival is here until the second of january... events are when new commons and new event rares are released (those are the links) and there are contests organized by the mene staff and wonderful prizes/gold are available to win and hangout threads where lots of page prizes are given out... it's just a fun time and lots more people seem to spend more time here during an event
