Its a sub branch of economics. There was a bunch of studies done some time ago that proved the value in knowing about the trends in society as a general rule. At the time it was just a section you learned in an economics class. Eventually Businesses caught on that they should hire people devoted predominantly to this and it has come to the point of being a field of study all in its own.
Oh, it's a scary place in my mind too. Just being apart from the man that I love, and getting back in to school - it's actually not stress, just mental overload, and my brain has decided to hate me I guess? *shrug* Life in general - although my roommate does keep things interesting, most of the time. This weekend has just given me too much 'free' time to think.
Ok... Yes, my bio is wrong. I am 22, I wrote that when I was 21 when I first joined and I haven't gotten around to changing it yet... I really don't appreciate you saying that I'm lying... I'm not.
I'm studying part-time. Working towards a B.A. with a double major in politics and social anthropology with a minor in development studies. Finally getting the hang of it. Really love my majors and minor. Which is reflected in my book collection. One day I promise to get around to reading it! Although my studies tend to provide me motivation. As of now taking a class on ritual and Belief, so I am reading a few related books on the side.
