It's hard to explain...er. I don't have the clearest of ideas which is why the novel stalled out. The two gangs occupy different halves of the city and aren't allowed on the others territory. The is no government except for the gangs. Maybe post apocalyptic? Plot would start with a breach of the peace between the east and west of city. I could share more info after class.
