Naming cats is good if you have more than one. I think otherwise it just reverts to Kitty. It works better, though, if you pick a name that's easy to cutesy. Something that sounds good shortened (if it's not already short) and with a Y on the end.
I'm going to PM you further responses on the Sherlock topic because it's getting kind of spoilery, and I wouldn't want someone who's not caught up to stumble across this on one of our profiles.
Aww, she's so cute! As long as the person knows the dog I'm talking about is full-grown, I tend to refer to any dog as a puppy. Just because I get cutesy when talking about/to animals. I could see an obviously old dog and my first reaction is "PUPPY!!"
Yeah, I tend to avoid tumblr until I've seen the most recent episode of Doctor Who for that reason. Buuuut I saw the Sherlock spoilers long before I knew I'd ever be watching Sherlock.
I've watched the first four episodes so far. Yeah, the three episode season thing was a huge disappointment, I had no clue going into it. But that the episodes are longer than the standard television show episode is nice too. I'll probably start grumbling once I've caught up, though.
