So I got almond milk Friday night. Tasty, different but tasty. I know it will take some time for me to get used to it but it's a lot lighter than milk which is nice.

Everyone should just respect whatever it is that gives them nutrients, just like one should never take more plants than needed either. Granted, they grow back faster, but it can still cause harm to over harvest local wildlife.

Ahhh, the other side of the state XD Vernor's is a ginger ale from Michigan, it's so good @.@

My boyfriend's dad was telling us about that XD His parents met in the air force and at one point were both mechanics and wanted to work together. About 5 minutes into it, they were at each others' throats because they didn't work the way the other wanted them to XD

I want to go back at some point! Now that I don't work retail, we're hoping to take more weekend trips.

In one tank I have an African Featherfin catfish, 3 mollies, and a pleco. The other tank I have a crowntail Beta (he's a pretty pearl white color too), 2 neons, a snail, a cory catfish and an albino cory catfish.

I can kind of see both sides; if people are mass killing just to make sure there is a forever supply, I don't like it. If it's people killing to feed others to survive, a bit more understandable.

It's rare that I talk to someone on here that's close enough to know what Meijer is. I have to watch myself when talking about Vernor's too.

I can see that XD I think most dairy can do that to you, or maybe something to do with fat contents. No idea really.

It would be nice and we wouldn't be in the same department so at least we wouldn't be at each others' throats. I'm in accounting while he's in IT.

I've been to Chicago a couple of times, just around the Magnificent Mile. I went there for a band trip and then for a family vacation just to hit the tourist areas that we didn't do on our band trip.

I can understand that... I'm dreading moving my desk; luckily I think we will be able to get his brother to help us as he helped him when they moved recently. The fish tanks will be fun too, though they will probably go in my car and empty at that.

Food, Inc did a great job in talking about how everything related to mass producing foods was corrupt...

Oh my gosh, you have Meijer too?! Oh, you're not too far from Michigan so that explains it XD
You know, if eating vegan perks you up that much, that can really say something about how bad mass produced meats are for you... I don't see why it's so wrong to let nature grow naturally and only take what you need...

Homegrown food definitely tastes the best!

We want to at some point. We were going to look more seriously when I got settled in at my internship as it's paid and it looks like once I graduate they plan on keeping me. The downside now is my boyfriend hates his job, or at least his new boss. The place I work asked for his resume so once we slow down they may look at doing something with him (after they get a chance to actually look at it). If that happens we will look locally, if not, we have to look closer to the city because he's tech and that's where the jobs are.

I've been moved out of my parent's house since 2009, but moved back for a few months in 2010. I don't mind moving. I'm so OCD that if I was put in charge of a move and everyone did what I said, I presume it would make it easier XD

As far as I can remember, I don't think I ever ate Tyson chicken until I moved in with my boyfriend's family. They buy the frozen stuff in the bags and it's just disgusting. I love chicken, but won't eat that stuff. My family would always buy meat in those foam tray things.

I'm always up for trying new things, especially as I know my diet can use some fixing up, which should change once we move out... When I was in school we had an inspirational speaker come out fro Vegas and because I was a part of student council and the yearbook committee I got to talk to him for a while and he talked very highly of Almond Breeze. I think the only store around me that carried it was Meijer, at least back then.

I've thought the same thing about shopping organic too... There's definitely a taste difference though! I buy organic carrots when I cook and will munch on them while I wait; they're a bit sweeter and more crisp tasting than the other kinds.

Awww, you'll be able to do it though XD I wanted to build a garden container, but if we move out no one will tend it so no point in starting if we can't see it through right away.

I will have to see if I can find those ingredients and try them out! It sounds good!

There are some things about the American food stuffs that I don't like knowing... It only encourages me to grow my own food and buy organic even more... That's just gross, beyond gross. There was a documentary called Food, Inc. It was very informative, but also disgusting and only enforces my dislike for the brand Tyson...

I may buy some sort of non-dairy milk for the house, try it out and see how my boyfriend takes to it. I'm pretty sure if I tell him how gross normal milk is, he will be quick to get out of wanting it. Though then again, he doesn't really drink milk anyway...

We had talked about going organic when we moved out and even me getting a garden going so we would just grow our own food. Whenever I cook I buy organic and may have to head out to farmer's markets this summer >.> That thought sounds more appealing now actually.

Oooh, how do you make your biscuits and gravy? I've never made them before, but I do enjoy them!

Feel free to go wild on this! I love learning about stuff like this!

It sounds like mixing non dairy products into the routine would help out. You get a lot nutrient wise but doesn't have the same fats that dairy does. Or am I mistaken on that?

I know my mom uses some sort of non dairy milk. I think it was almond? It was sweeter and my little brother will actually drink it.

    *pulls up a chair*

So how do they do it?! How does dairy-less dairy possible? Is it similar to soy milk and such?
