[size=1]He woke from his slumber when he felt a hard pinch to his cheek. His arms flailed as, with a yelp, he threw himself backward against the back of his chair. Rubbing his cheek, Sora glanced around at the unfamiliar surroundings before him The last thing he remembered was sealing the keyhole of a sleeping world. Then he followed the path to the next world. It wasn't strange to arrive in a completely new world, but he couldn't recall what knocked him out. At least, he thought something had struck him. He remembered traveling the path, a moment of pain, then nothing until waking here.

"Do you plan on sleeping all day?"

Sora froze at the giggle that followed the question. He spun around in his chair and, for a moment, could only stare at the girl seated behind him. "Kairi!" He nearly shouted from surprise at seeing his friend. He couldn't make sense of how he could be back on Destiny Islands. This didn't look like their school, or what he remembered of it from his short return before receiving King Mickey's letter.

Kairi frowned but there was laughter in her eyes. "Why so surprised?" she questioned with a laugh.

Embarrassment colored his cheeks. "Ah, sorry, sorry!" he said as he scratched the back of his head. "I wasn't expecting to return to Destiny Islands during this test."

This time Kairi frowned with no hint of amusement in her expression. "I thought you were done with that, Sora." Disappointment tinged her voice. She stood from her desk and slung her bag over a shoulder.

The statement confused him. By the time Sora jumped up from his seat, Kairi was already out of the classroom. Sora hurried to catch up with her in the hallway. "Er, what did you mean by that?"

Kairi halted, and Sora stared worriedly at her. She took a deep breath and released it slowly. "You hadn't mentioned that play in years. I thought you were finally over that phase you went through. Sora," she glanced at him with a stern look, "there is no such place as Destiny Islands."[/size]
