Well people here on Mene are arrogant, they think their ideas are the best ideas and everyone else is stupid- even if someone honestly feels that way (which can't be helped, people can't stop what they feel) the very least they could do is not be so negative about expressing that opinion.

They only think Mene is better because it's less popular, they are 'hipsters', people who arrogantly and ignorantly see themselves are intelligent and unique as a snowflake, so anything they might like is automatically better in their eyes.

My suggestion is this; just don't donate to the website. Don't waste your time until you see the main personality of the site improve you know? They think mene will be their idea of perfect forever, but I can promise that in a few years it'll be just like Gaia- packed with ads, populated by trolls and 10 year olds and focused on making real-life money.

Mind you, it's already packed with trolls and 10 year olds, so it's already a third of the way to being gaia.

Yeah, most of them SAY they're in college and I believe them just because of how arrogant they are. And no, the folks outside the private-thread only section are REALLY bad, but the people who want to do one on ones tend to be good.

Frankly though, Gaia is better. The mods here are kind of... immature, and until they start acting like professionals instead of feeding trolls just to keep users here, this website won't grow at all.

I don't have any problem with Athiests, just the ones that preach and attack. Like, they think they're better than Christians because their beliefs 'make sense' and yet they behave the exact way the bible thumpers do. But of course you explain that's what they are doing and they insist otherwise. I like to talk about religion, and every time I mention I'm a christian, I get people jumping on me and assuming I'm stupid just because they have high opinions of themselves.

Frankly though, I've come to expect that kind of attitude from menewsha. Most of the people on this site are 'university' students (meaning they go to a community college and think it's the same thing and thus they are SO much better than everyone else) who try too hard to be bohemian friendly, so they hate on stereotypes and insist they are 'unique as a snowflake' and yet they all talk and act the same, (like sheep)

Like, seriously, throw out ONE stereotype out there, just one, and the folks here jump on it like starving dogs on a steak. there are SO many gay people here who hate on gays who talk in the campy voice because it's a stereotype that is "misrepresenting" them, so instead of being intelligent and hating the ignorant people, they hate on the stereotypes and are no better than gaybashers. People here have problems with gay stereotypes, they think it's 'wrong' to portray them, and yet they have no problem with air-headed blondes or people who like to read that wear glasses.

Anyways, thank you for your post, it's not often someone voices their opinion without putting a very negative spin on things, like, your post was the first post that was informative of your opinion without being an 'attack' post. You know what I mean?
